Mister Slim Says: The beatings will continue until morale improves.

The Resistable Force versus the Moveable Object! Someone has to win!

Up-to-the-minute reports indicate that Keegan Murray is prepared to make his 2025-26 NBA season debut tonight and, if Sabonis is also ruled as available, would put the Kings at full strength for the first time this season. So Kings fans will finally get to see just how bad this team really is. Of course they're playing an injury-depleted Grizzlies team, so there's no telling whether there'll even be anything useful to take from this game?

Another anonymous poll.

I honestly don't recall the last time I was on the edge of "I don't give a * about the Kings" status as early into the regular season as I currently am...And that does not bode well for my mental (in)stability for the remainder the of season.

In contrast to all the "nattering nabobs of negativity" in these parts, I think the Kings have improved over the last three games on the road against Minnesota, San Antonio (albeit without their center), and Oklahoma City. They have to be excited to have Keegan Murray back on the court, even in limited minutes. With so many Grizzlies lost in the woods, they have a chance to bag a bear. I think they can win three of their last six games in November.

I just reported you to the mods for optimism and positivity.

Christie wants passing and motion in the offense. So what does he do against OKC? He plays iso ball with his non-passing players like Schroeder Westbrook and Lavine and relegates the best passing players on the team - Clifford and Max - to stand and watch or screen and roll players. This is dumbass coaching based more on keeping his vets happy than developing this team for the future. If Christie plays to form he'll put Murray in the corner and have Westbrook and DDR go iso the whole game.

Not to dispute your general point, but Westbrook leads the team by far in assists per 36 minutes at 8.1. Schröder is second at 6.8. As for the best passing players on the Kings, the talents of Clifford and Raynaud remain to be proven at this level. You also overlook Malik Monk, who somehow has not been allowed to handle the ball all that much this season, but who averaged 6.3 assists per 36 minutes last year, across both starting and bench roles.

Westbrook is a chaotic passer and a part time rental. I'd rather have Clifford with the ball in his hands, for this year and for the future.

Like last night, here’s my prognostication

Kings lose by 15
Carter, Keon and Nique get a total of 20 minutes total
