The game was pretty close except for a couple of spurts by the Thunder. During one of those, in the third quarter, the Kings looked out of sync. During much of the game, they had to shoot over the zone, but only managed 29% from three. Monk was the notable exception, going 3-5. DeRozan, LaVine, and Westbrook were a combined 1-10 from three, and Schroeder was 2-9 all by himself.

Max showing smarts and Precious showing fight are the positives. Really impressed with Max coordinating the defense. Let the man get some more reps.

Achiuwa is a good solid pro. Good positioning and competes. Just wish he was a better shooter, because as a 4, it's tough when you're not really a threat to stretch it out to 3. I think Jones was actually a better shooter or potential to be

They played 19 minutes….missed there
Fun fact: Nique was 0-0 on FGA’s. Absolutely killing this kids confidence and taking away his dynamic ability to do a bit of everything. Doug Christie is a terrible coach.

He seems to be so consumed with trying to "compete", that he loses sight of building anything towards the future. The more they lose, the more he digs his heels in that they need to "compete" more. Of course assuming that all these decisions are his alone

I’d like to see him sent down to Stockton for a few games. He needs to get 30 minutes and some rhythm.

I know this has been discussed many times, and not sure how much it really impacts our win loss record at this point, but this schedule is nutso.

Circling back to this.... part of the reason the schedule looks a lot harder now is that the NBA Cup games happen in November and early December and those all have to be against Western Conference opponents in our Group Pool. Granted that doesn't fully explain why we needed to play OKC and Minnesota three times each in the first 6 weeks of the season but it does mean we continue to be penalized for playing in the more competitive conference.

Also, does anyone remember when the Kings finished 4-0 in pool play during the first NBA Cup way back in 2023? Me neither. :(

Just like the 2025-2026 Sacramento Kings season, my run playing Monopoly with the battleship came crashing down, eventually shattering into a million tiny pieces once it reached the bottom of the ocean.

This is like waking up to a nightmare. I f'ing knew this was going to be 2008-2009 all over again. In fact, this is even literally more pointless than watching John Salmons gobble up usage.

do your sanity a favor and tune in and watch some other ball clubs, lots of fun squads to watch out there

I've been enjoying the Piston's run so far myself. I've always had a soft spot for Detroit, ever since they stomped LA in the finals many a moon ago, it's been cool to see them get out of the cellar! Cade is a monster!

I keep telling myself that we're showcasing the vets, but that doesn't mean I've really had much interest so far this season. That could change if Vivek OK's a youth movement, or I can check out entirely if we're still trying to ride the "talents" of our vets to a play-in elimination post deadline.

the Pistons were the NBA laughing stock two years ago and now sit atop the East. how quickly things change when a front office has patience and vision

He's 23 going onto 24 year old he should be playing In the NBA if he's good enough not the gleague the only 23 years olds you see in the gleague are guys who might be a 3 stringer if case of mass injuries or potentially some euroleaguers, same goes for Carter. The Kings are drafting NBA ready guys who either they don't give a chance to play or are not NBA ready.

I've been impressed with Precious. Just a guy who knows he's a role player and he's effective at what he does well. He's better on defense than I remember at his other stops.

Raynaud looked good in his run.

Everything else, yawn.

One play vs Ihart really stood out on the glass. Was able to hold him off with the box out and tip the ball to Monk for the fast break.

Would be nice if he got to touch the ball on offense, Literally at all. Another play where he had a great defensive stop, him and Precious ran the floor hard... and Instead of Dennis rewarding either big man, he takes a contested 3 that gets blocked. Thought that play was pretty indicative of our season so far

I’ve seen enough to turn backup duties over to him when Domas is playing. Literally no reason to not do this. While Eubanks has been better than expected, it’s not like we are winning with him and as if we have to have him in the lineup. No one is trading for Eubanks. He can’t rebound. Been better on offense than what I expected but he’s been good at shotblocking. Ok on D. Why wouldn’t a team turn it over to the younger player at this point?

Yep I was impressed by the same play.

The young guys are nearly completely iced out on offense. I'm already at the point where I'm DVR'ing the games and fast forwarding through the all veteran lineups but it's not like I'm able to see much when the young guys are out there anyway because the vets are just dominating the ball.

It's funny how the vets dominate the ball on offense but when it's time to take the responsibility to guard SGA, that's on Nique for some reason. Pretty much just setting him up for failure so he looks as bad as possible on both ends of the floor.

Yeah, I'm sick of Max coming to set a hard screen, roll to the basket... and get looked off everytime.

His first shot attempt had to come from Precious making a nice read and hitting him on the short roll for an easy floater. Like 10 or so minutes into his action.

Where did these exact age parameters come from?
