I am not a native speaker of English but that was a poorly written article even by my standards.
"Lopez is a rookie so it’s only logical that he doesn’t view himself as a dominate player yet. He plays big and competes with intensity but in his mind he doesn’t yet see himself as having the ability to dominate. He has to learn how to use his size and his length and when he does do that, he’ll become a dominant inside player who should turn into a force for the Nets."
At least he corrected himself but that is not very hard to do if you repeat the same thing over and over.
