[Game] 03/82 Kings vs Lakers 26 OCT 2025, 6pm Pacific 9pm Eastern

In the NBA, one has to start from being the foul-prone overzealous young player to being recognized by the refs enough to give him just an inch of benefit of doubt and suddenly he is a "defensive specimen".

I think the team name on the jersey also plays a role. To my dying day I will never stop cringing at that replay of defensive wiz (and last season's steals leader) Dyson Daniels "blocking" Fox's potential game-winning basket by grabbing his forearm. It just is what it is.

There's plays where the 2-man game looks freaking sweet, but more often than not it just looks awkward and like they don't really know how to play off each other yet. Which, is honestly fairly inexcusable after half the season last year and a full off-season

I don’t think there is any reason their styles shouldn’t compliment each other. I don’t see how they couldn’t be a much better version of what Sabonis-Huerter had in the first year together.

But we’re also working with DeRozan who I don’t think is complimentary to Domas. Shroeder I’m not sure yet.

I’m also not sure if making a Sabonis-LaVine connection the identity of the offense is something they are emphasizing as a result to how the roster is constructed. They just don’t run the offense through Domas anymore and I think after the 23-24 season they stopped constructing the roster with him being the “engine” of the offense in mind.

Helluva decision to make after giving him such a massive contract but I can’t think of any other explanation of why they bungled building around him so much except that they decided that they weren’t building around him
