    Was Douby a wasted pick?

I think Douby is a great ball-handler and a competent defender. He has a nose for the basket and could get to the line often if given more minutes. He's not a bust; just not enough minutes to go around.

    Team Cornerstone?

Yeah, I agree. You can't throw Shelden Williams in the same sentence as cornerstone. Also, while we're on the topic of players we got in the Bibby trade, can I just say that I've never seen a player more boring than Anthony Johnson. He's slow and plodding. He doesn't have a go-to move. He...

    Team Cornerstone?

Yeah, I agree with that. I just don't see a way for us to get an elite player to Sac. There isn't a clear superstar available on the free agent market unless Gilbert Arenas, Shawn Marion, Baron Davis or Elton Brand opts out. I'd love to get Brand, but I don't think he's looking to leave L.A.

    Team Cornerstone?

Who is the cornerstone of the Kings? By cornerstone, I mean a player that the rest of the team can be built upon. For instance, LeBron would be the cornerstone in Cleveland, Chris Bosh in Toronto, Al Jefferson in Minnesota, Chris Paul in New Orleans, etc. Kevin Martin seems like an obvious...

Theus: "A couple guys" not playing hard

All I know is after that game I felt like tearing my eyeballs out. What a garbage effort...

Did Anyone Hear the Ron-Ron Controversy?

All I know is that I'm getting horrible flash backs to last season. The coach is getting questioned. The team is up-and-down. Martin's not getting enough offensive touches. The defense is shoddy. The big difference, though, is that I really believe in Theus. And I think we have better pieces...

    Martin's "D" is Teeeerrrrrrribbbbllllle!

Martin does ok, given what he has to work with. He gets into passing lanes more this year and his steals numbers have gone up. That's really where his principle strength lies: his speed. Mini-Mart is what he is. A great offensive weapon who moves off the ball well and reads the court with...

    ARTEST on ESPN.com

I'm constantly surprised by the perspective that Artest brings. He's incredibly self-aware. I like him a lot and I'm glad to hear that he is likely to stay in Sac-town for another season.

Kings Should Offer Artest a Contract

I hate the idea of losing for the sake of getting a higher draft pick. It's a slippery slope. I don't think Petrie would keep Artest unless he has plans to re-sign him in the offseason. So I have a feeling Artest will be back as our marquee player. I don't mind that choice. Artest is one of the...

Suns, Nuggets will play October game in open-air arena

I think outdoor hockey works a lot better than outdoor basketball. It should be pretty fun to see the players struggling with the elements though (wind, etc.). In the big scheme of things, I don't think this increases the attraction of the game. Not sure what the Suns, Nuggets or the league...

Kleiza a Top 25 Young Player?

Might be true (he did get, what, 10 boards against Houston). We'll know when Theus gives him more minutes...

Kleiza a Top 25 Young Player?

And while we're on the subject, Hawes has much more developed post moves than Miller. However, Miller rebounds a lot better and is a more accomplished passer. Just cuz both dudes are white and have good ball skills doesn't mean they are younger/older versions of each other.

Kleiza a Top 25 Young Player?

Martin is definitely more athletic than Peja for the record. And Peja's shot is much smoother. So really there's not much comparison there.

Kleiza a Top 25 Young Player?

:D I'm pretty sure this wasn't last year's list. Kevin Durant wasn't even in the league yet.

Kleiza a Top 25 Young Player?

We'll never find another Webber. He was a one-of-a-kind. But we can definitely pick up a future "Bibby in his prime" in this draft. Rose, Augustin and Collison are all good choices.

Kleiza a Top 25 Young Player?

I think if Kleiza improves his defensive effort, he has the upside of Glen Rice in his prime. Not a bad player to have alongside a young Reggie Miller (Kevin Martin).

Kleiza a Top 25 Young Player?

Thanks for the post. I've heard much the same thing about Kleiza. He's patient, waits for his shot and hits it with good accuracy when he gets a good look. He'd be a terrific bargain for us if we end up getting him.

    Draft flexibility

You never know. Stranger things have happened... Like, for instance, the Trailblazers getting the first pick in last year's draft.

Kleiza a Top 25 Young Player?

Ok, so I'm anticipating that Linas Kleiza will be a Sacramento King because the trade talks have heated up with the Nuggets again. Given that assumption, is he one of the 25 best players in the league under age 25? This list doesn't seem to think so. But his numbers indicate that he is better...

    Draft flexibility

I've seen Bayless only once and Rose numerous times, but I would definitely take Rose for his size and ability to distribute/control the pace of a game. Bayless is more of a SG IMO. Rose is as pure a PG as they come.
