    [Game] 16/82: Kings @ Clippers 22 NOV 2024, 7:30pm PT/10:30pm ET

What team has regular 8:00 starts?

    Keon Tyrese Ellis

The vast majority of this forum voted for it, including me. I wouldn't bet on the Kings doing it, unless they trade Huerter

    Keon Tyrese Ellis

It's very tough to get ~30 mins on a consistent basis, without starting. We've had this discussion about Monk in the past when he was rolling....and it just doesn't end up happening on the regular.

    Keegan “KEEGAN MURRAY” Murray

Hmm. Back in the day, "small forwards" or the 3 position, wasn't usually a stretch forward? It probably doesn't matter much in a Mike Brown offense, but it still can matter in defensive matchups

    Keegan “KEEGAN MURRAY” Murray

Another reason that I like Keon in the starting lineup, is that he can be matched up on the best guard, so that Murray doesn't have to

    Keegan “KEEGAN MURRAY” Murray

Given that Murray is not a particularly aggressive guy, I think it benefits him even more than some other players, to not always have to be matched up against equal or larger size. With who he is and how he plays, I still think that 3 is his best position

    Keegan “KEEGAN MURRAY” Murray

All of those guys are either taller/longer or bigger than Murray. If Khris Middleton was his ideal comp of which Murray has said he wanted to pattern his game after, he thrived at the 3 position

Who Would You Start on Opening Day?

No. He's not paid enough yet. I think they're "managing" contracts, looking towards the future

I would still argue that the "hang up" for management, is the contract size difference. They decided that they can't chance Huerter getting "lost" or become an after thought on the bench

I can't agree that a player has to play in 150+ games for a sample size to be considered "decent"

So I don't think the argument can be made that Huerter is a more valuable player, or even a better fit with the starting lineup, even though he has played well in other areas. I realize that is not your opinion, but just stating it in general

The concern has been that his shot has been largely "off".....and by off, I mean open looks that are missing by a wide margin. This has many questioning what is going on, because you wouldn't expect that over a decent sample size

How is his "gravity pull" currently, compared to Huerter's? If I recall, that was the one thing that was cited for why Brown would start Kevin

Brown needed to take a tech for the team earlier in the game

naa, Brown is just going to go 1-4 flat for Fox anyways

yeah, him fouling out with 8:45 to go probably lost the game. They decided to play McLaughlin for him to close

Because they had the ball in Fox' hands with the defense moving. Better than letting them get set
