4) Monk was 6-9 with four assists for 17 points

He did what the coaches told him to do in preseason: play defense and only shoot if you have to. Now he has a completely different role, and it's not on him to figure it out on the fly.
Monk's defensive technique has improved dramatically since the All-Star break last season. I wonder if he spent a lot of time studying film while resting his knee?
