Dumb shot yes, but for the most part, he and Reke are running the team really damn well and getting others involved. It's hard to complain about 12pt 5 assist and 11pt 5 assist efforts in the 1st half

I remember seeing this with Westphal a few years back. Tighter rotation by necessity once you take away some of the toys. For Westphal that year I think it was after we made the Thornton trade and Evans got hurt. We lost Landry and Evans from the lineup, allowed Cousins and Dally to start with .... Donte Greene? Thornton and Beno and we ended the year strong. Same thing is kind of happening here since we dumped Brooks, Johnson left with personal stuff, Garcia, Robinson, Honeycutt dealt, and now Cousins injury.

We have been playing better the past two weeks, and I think the rotations have been slightly tighter. Slightly. It helps, though.

Need a better effort from JT in the 2nd half. Terrible defensively and missed all of his open looks.

Yeah, definite similarities. I'd still argue though a good coach doesn't need his options limited for him and is confident enough to go with the 8 guys he sees fit. And given next Oct our coach, whomever it is will have more toys to play with, there's no way I want Smart in charge.

You know, for all the trash people like to talk about Jason Thompson, the kid is averaging 11.8 points (on 52.0% shooting) and 6.8 rebounds on the season, and 13.3 points (on 58.9% shooting) and 6.7 rebounds since the Houston trade. So, it's not like the guy has exactly played himself out of the rotation.

meanwhile John Salmons and JT are doing their thing with a combined 1-9 for 3pts

JT should get big minutes, but off the bench. he just isnt a starting PF/C in this league. and his offense (besides his spot up midrange jumper) is just terrible.
