What can you say when you're the worst coach in the league and have little ground to stand on? It's not exactly Sloan, PJax, Pop or even JVG ripping into Cuz. There's nothing to respect with Smart aside from his "title". It's obvious from recent comments Cuz has little respect for Smart or the organization as a whole, and who can blame him?
You are waaaaay too focused on Smart.
OK, what would Sloan, Pop, etc do? I guess what I would do depending on my desire to hang him from the rafters, would be to take some time out and talk with my assistants. But then, I think ripping him a new one might be a good ides. Cousins responds to that kind of thing.

This is probably wise. I don't think I could do it. 
Smart intellectualizes and it is best to shut up than babble at him. If Smart came at me with his typical crap, I'd get more angry.

Really isn't just Smart but the organization at large. What can they tell him? what good does it do when someone rips you a new one and you don't respect that person? I wouldn't respond well. I'd probably fine him, maybe sit him a game and let him know he let the team down, but I don't see what Smart or this organization can really do to change his behavior. It's on Cuz, he'll change when he wants to change.
A vet he respects would help. A legit coach would help. A gm who doesn't have his head up his *** would help. Cuz doesn't respect this organization and I don't see it changing until the new owners clean house. But you think Smart ripping into him will help? Smart tried to cool him off when talking to the refs and Cuz told him to F off, according to a News 10 guy at the game. That kind of shows how much respect Cuz has for Smart.

I wonder how his behavior on the court would be if Sloan was coach. I don't mean he would be afraid but simply the respect would help. Certainly the chaos in the organization is a huge distraction and I think is a cause for a lot of what is happening with this team. It's a wasted year. Absolutely wasted.
