It's always been a foolish notion that he can't guard the SF position at a high level. Andre Iggy, one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA, is the exact same size as Reke. This game is a loss for sure, but at least the effort was put in to make somewhat of a comeback. The Bulls are just too experienced even without D-Rose. They played a lot of games without him last season so its nothing new for them.
