3) So now in this thread - where I predicted the loss of a 6-10 team tonight - I've been called a monkey, been told to "shut up" (multiple times), and been called various other names. Very nice internet fanbase.

Can you pick something in the original post that was uncalled for or out of place? Anything disrespectful? Anything inappropriate? Is it wrong to predict a Kings loss on a Kings forum?

You don't like what I predicted, so you're using your big-boy mod "powers" to threaten a ban. What I said was what I honestly expect to happen. Who knows, I could be wrong! Until then... it's neat that you think me predicting that a 6-10 team will get blown out in an away game somehow makes me less of a fan, or is eluding to the fact that I may eventually "dance on their grave."

You're essentially scared of what I've said for some reason? Insecure in your sports team? And I guess me having an objective point of view - on one game - threatens you in some way. Your response is to attack me and threaten to just shut up my opinion altogether... despite there being absolutely nothing wrong with what I posted.

As someone who works in the field of psychology, people like you fascinate me! =)

I thought the Kings might have a higher chance of losing tonight due to the back-to-back, but the Kings are actually 3-3 when they played the previous night vs. 3-7 when they didn't. Of course those stats are kind of suspect out of only 16 games.

I'm basing my prediction mainly off of the patterns I've seen in this team's play so far this year. I think they will have an ugly game tonight, but perhaps finally begin to learn from their mistakes as a result.

I actually think the OP is a genius. If the Kings get blown out then he gets to tell everybody how he was right. If the Kings win, then he'll be happy that they won their 3rd game in a row. Win, win IMO.

I don't make predictions as "bets." I'm not a betting person. I make them for the fun of it. If I'm wrong, you are right - it's not so bad because it means we won! If I end up being right I have no intention of being a jerk about it or anything. I'm not claiming to have special powers...

It's funny you work in that field. I wonder if that's why you like to try and question people's "logic" and "supposed attempts at wit".

Let me be the first to let you in on a little secret. I went to one of the top colleges in the nation. And psych majors were definitely no smarter, wittier, or more intelligent than their peers, so stop trying to act as such.

So let's cut the crap of you trying to act so aloof and above everyone else that you're somehow witty and logical yourself, and then studying reactions when you troll and say that the team will lose.

If you think they're going to lose, then fine. Get the hell out of here, because you're not a fan of the team. It's not being "sensitive", it's being flat-out annoyed by Jimmer homers like yourself who do nothing but spout platitudes about him and then in the next breath bash the team and keep talking about how poorly they'll do.

And you have nothing to base any of your predictions on. It's hilarious. You say how great Jimmer is based off youtube highlights. Newsflash, bub. Youtube highlights could make any one of us look like the next Jordan.

Man, I'm gonna take a lot of heat for this one. But here is my prophesy for tonight...

The Kings lose by 20-25 points. Our "go to" guys (Reke, DMC, and to a much lesser extend, MT) have had some pretty good games as of late. Unfortunately, I think this may lead to them making a return to their selfish, "I must carry this team" style of ball tonight. Salmons - who also managed to have a half decent game for once - will be out of control, thinking that he "has it back" (something he never really had to begin with but...).

Remember the sloppy, no offense, no offensive plays, no hustling back on defense Kings that we saw earlier this year? I think it will return at least one more time tonight to rear it's ugly head.
BUT - I think it will serve as a major wakeup call for the team, and that after tonight they will finally come to the realization that they play pretty well when they play together as a team.

A person can approach these fourms in many ways. I would think the best way is to post in a way, that number one, interests the rest of us, and hopefully informs us to some extent. Or, you can post things that you know going in, and you as much as admit it in this thread, are going to provoke people. What joy you take out of that is beyond me, but I find it amusing that you bring up self-esteem, when your involved in something thats very juvenille.

I guess some folks just don't want people fouling up their pipe dreams with a dose of reality. It's really kind of childish, though. Presuming most of us are adults here, you'd think we'd all be able to handle dissenting views/opinions without taking them personal.

Mike Conley is the major difference between these two teams. Because Conley controls the game for the Grizz, they can play their halfcourt defense and then fastbreak when the break is there. Conley provides consistency to a roster that is unbalanced without him.

What makes it even worse is that they just got blown out by the Grizzlies a few weeks ago. And how do they respond, with an even worse blowout. This is a game the Kings should have taken personal and it just didn't look that way.

Still, I just read the original post and the game didn't play out that way at all. This team played some of it's best team ball in this one. This game wasn't as bad as the score would indicate.

The only thing right about the original post was that the Kings got blown out. Other than that the Kings didn't really play all that badly with the exception that they let the Grizzlies get hot from the line early. Not the way you want to start out. Evans is probably the only player that didn't show up.
