I've got Löwenherz taking Spike in a landslide. Somehow my top-ranked list ended up as the #16 seed (which, I suppose, says something about my chances to win this thing). Ran was a gutsy #1 overall pick, but I would have eventually taken it, and Brazil was practically snatched out from under me. On top of that, too much great stuff (Run Lola Run, The Lady Eve) to not be a competitor. Sorry, Raiders! Sorry, Wayne's World! I'd have to let you guys go if given the choice.

Right now Brick has a commanding lead from the #2 seed, but it was a squeaker in my vote. As much as I love Peter Jackson's Fellowship, having only one of the trilogy would be a somewhat painful experience on a desert island. Ferris Bueller and Clarice Starling were basically the difference makers here. Maybe an amnesiac Bill Murray played in as well - Larry's list was a bit short on the light laughs.

Whoa. Wasn't sure how I was going to fare in the initial rankings after my turn into obscure cult flicks and romcoms. Hope I redeem the initial confidence.

Why does it always seem i end up against Bricklayer.. Ironically The Thing and American pie were movies that he drafted the same round I were going to draft them, before me.

I went with Spike and Larry. Spike's list is probably the most fun of any list and while it wasn't my favorite favorite I liked that he just stuck with that theme. I know a lot of people like to be well rounded, which is good but not if it disrupts flow. Spike's list flows for me.

Larry picked 2 movies I had on my list for this draft and several others I quite like which earned my vote over what I think is a very solid list from Brick with the potential to earn my future vote.

Spike has a pretty darn good list, as does Brick. I think Spike's is my favorite (after my own, of course). Couple of rough matchups for anyone in the next round.
