[NBA] Comments that Don't Warrant Their Own Thread (Playoffs?)

Coach Doug Collins has on a purple tie on sidelines of Sixers/Heat game! It looks almost identical to the one Mayor KJ had on today. Then there's CWebb with his paint it purple tie on TV today. Is this a good omen, sign of a plan, by more that we ever thought possible from others outside of Sac - to keep Kings in place. All I can say is GO KINGS!! I mean STAY KINGS!! Well, you know.

Pretty sure the Sixers would be in their series had they not traded Sammy D for Hawes and Noce and made the unfortunate mistake of drafting Turner over Demarcus. Our frontline ironically could have been their frontline.

Outside of the fact that you obviously have too much time on your hands, that's interesting. Two for one trades usually if not always favor the team that gets the one if the players are substantial players and not just throw ins.

Assuming you mean the Mavs. But ya, wtf happened. I took a shower at the start of the 4th they were up 20. Came back to them up 4.
You have to watch Slim's picture through all its animations (I missed that the first time). Basically couldn't buy a shot, got pressured into many bad ones as well as bad passes and cheap TOs and the Blazers finally decided to start crashing the boards. Just horrible because the first half was pretty poorly played by the Blazers too but they didn't really give up a huge lead until the 3rd.

I wish I could take credit for that picture: someone posted that to Bleacher Mob, nine years ago, after Game 4 of the 2002 WC Semis. I just took it out of the mothballs.

Oh that is awesome, will make some of my local friends happy. Thanks S£im.

...and I figured game 4 from 2002 would figure in here with that first gif. Glad I never saw the original :)

Cuz is going to be better than Z-Bo one day. Hopefully he's still a King when that happens.

Also....Chris Paul is a beast. 27/13/15 against the Lakers tonight. Just nasty.

It really is amazing that everyone seems to have forgotten about CP3 as the best PG in the game today.

I don't know, seems to me Steve Nash (3 time MVP) was clearly best PG in the game up until a couple years ago - and then Chris Paul took the mantle. Did I miss someone in between?

Last season everyone was determined to crown Deron Willaims with that title
I would not say "everyone," but agreed after Steve Nash slowed a bit it was Deron and CP3 as main competitors for best PG. I guess Nash had Chauncy Billups as a main competitor during his run.

I wonder what Utah Jazz think. They selected Deron Williams one selection before CP3 Apparently, they were torn over which one to take but took Williams because he was bigger, with a post-up game and everything else fairly equal in their mind.

Jazz probably would have had to trade Paul or risk losing him too.

As for the debate, its natural that Paul would have taken a bit of a slide after missing half the season last year. It's all what have you done for me lately.

Boy I hope the Griz go up 3-1 on the Spurs today. I am disappointed I won't be able to watch that one. That's my fav. series so far.
If Ginobili was LeBron people would be saying that the Spurs are not surrounding him with enough talent. Best record in NBA (more or less), check. Playoff screw up? Check. Time for Ginobili to take his talents to Miami, because clearly the rest of the Spurs aren't good enough to help Ginobili to win a championship.

I have to say at least they are original - I never would've thought that free diabetes is something you could win at a contest...
I think most people who drink soda drink at least one can a day without getting diabetes.

You are correct. However, while most people might not be in the high risk category for type-2 diabetes, if you are your definitely not doing yourself any favors by consuming pop. There are a lot of type-2 diabetics walking around without knowing it. Have you ever looked at the sugar and carbs in a 12oz pop?

Wtf are you saying? Ginobli is surrounded by talent, they are just old and slow.

Lebron never had any type of talent. Not sure if you were being sarcastic or not, but the amount of hate that Lebron receives is just unheard of in my lifetime.

What's worse is people who drink diet sodas. Aspartame is addicting and a lot worse for you than the caffiene and caramel color that standard sodas have.

Yes, I have. I'm well aware that I drink too much of the stuff. But that really kills the amusement I got from the fact that 7-Up and the NBA owned Hornets concocted a halftime prize contest that normally nets the winner somewhere between $10,000 and a new car, ramped up the difficulty significantly and then awarded a prize with a whopping cash value of just under $100 and for the average soda drinker doesn't even live up to its billing.

You're right, but watch this. I know it's long but it's REALLY worth the time. There's a good chance you will never want to drink another pop again.

Did you just post a one and a half hour Youtube video on the perils of drinking soda?
Guilty... Actually it's about sugar (and HFCS) in general, not just soda. To be honest, when I first watched this video I didn't think I would last more than a couple of minutes, but once I started watching it I just couldn't stop. It's a huge eye opener about what we are doing to our bodies these days.
