I don't see a single thing in there that we didn't already know. We've known for sometime that The Kings MAY file this year. Regardless though, I'm sick of this BS. One day they want to stay in Sacramento, then they're moving, and on and on and on. Just make a freaking decision already. They're pretty much holding the fans and the city hostage at this point. If you're gonna leave, then just GTFO already so we can move on.

The Maloofs stuck around for over a decade trying to get the area in Sacramento. The Maloofs have come out every freaking year saying that they want to stay in Sacramento and get the arena issue sorted. Only this year they are not as much forth coming as they were in the past and even then, they have been prohibited by the NBA to make comments on the issue.

Its not they are going one day, staying the next. For years they have been saying that they are not interested in moving and want to work something out in Sacramento. After a decade, of course they will start exploring their options. They would be extremely dumb not to.

Any half competent government would have worked something out by now but they seemed to want to have their cake and eat it too and thats not going to cut it as some stage and that seems to be fast approaching!

I don't blame them if they move. I'd blame them for lying to the fans and the city when they said they would not file this year. If they sat back and watched all the arena task force stuff going on and withheld the knowledge they were going to move this year, that just makes them lying snakes.

One even suggested we use the "ONE BILLION" dollars for law enforcement, fire fighters, homeless and even end hunger in Sacramento.

Crimes have taken place since the beginning of time and will not go away. There will always be homeless people (those who want to and those who do not). Ending hunger? That's a stretch.

They want Sacramento to be a boring place to live with little to no entertainment options. They also want the Maloofs to build the arena on their own. Other cities have been able to pull it off, but not Sacramento. At least thus far.

I'm just glad we have a mayor to lead the way to getting further than anything else we have tried in the last 10 years or so. All we can do now is wait.

I also wish more people would attend the Kings games and show their support further by attending the city council meetings.

That was a dumb move but taking on a 100 million dollar loan to leave a city that's trying to build you an arena that you also happen to owe 70 million to just so you can go compete with The Lakers and Clippers is a whole other level of dumb.

I dont think they have much of a choice. I listened to a long interview with David Stern on Bill Simmons podcast last week, and according to Stern the only two real potential places with ready stadiums are Aneheim and Kansas City.

Im sure Sacramento and Vegas are #1 and #2 on the Maloofs list. But it doesnt look like either city is going to have an Arena built anytime soon. And the Maloofs dont strike me as family who wants to move there team to KC. I'm sure they rather stay in Cali if they can and keep some of the Sacramento fans on board.

They believe the city or someone else will step in to run and maintain the arena. That's not going to happen.

NCAA has passed us up. Now Prince has done the same. I have to drive to Oakland to watch Prince perform at Oracle Arena.

I generally have to go to the Bay Area to see any act that I actually want to see. No one, and that really is no one, wants to use the worn down antique that is Arco Arena.

From what I can tell those naysayers seem to be senior citizens who want to relive their glory days before the Kings and ARCO Arena were built. Their biggest mouthpiece said they own a few homes in Sacramento and San Francisco yet spends most of their time in the Bay Area.

They are all negative and you cannot reason with them. It also seem like they post all day on the Bee's web site which makes me wonder if they work or not.

Why wouldnt San Jose be one of the cities in the hunt for the kings? They have an arena and they are surrounded by some of the most valuable companies in the world.

Yeah I know all that but I still don't see why they wouldn't stick it out one more year in Sacramento to see what's going to happen with this latest arena effort. If the ICON plan goes through, then they'd be much better off staying in Sacramento. I just can't see why they'd sink the ICON deal before it even has a chance to get approved by announcing relocation now.
