[Game] Kings at Warriors

to much i almost feel like saying dont let the door hit u on the rear end on the way to seattle , but thats an emotional reaction , just makes me sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love Tyreke, but when you dont have a jumpshot it makes game-ending plays incredibly hard to make. Refs dont call fouls late in the game, the defense can sag off because they know you arent shooting. Its hard to make good things happen going to the rim when when you arent getting the calls and the defense can play agresssive without having to worry about a jumper. He isnt a very good game finisher right now. We dont have one.

And the coach is supposed to prepare them for situations like this. And yet...we keep failing EVERYTIME IN THE CLUTCH. Missed FT's got us into OT, but BAD COACHING COST US THE GAME.
Coaching only goes so far. You need a guy or two with ice in their veins on the team in situations like this and The Kings don't have any.

Paul Westfail coaching style at pivotal junctions in the game: "Go out and play guys, I'm feeling lucky!"

Maybe that's why the Maloofs hired him, the guy is a big time gambler, just look at his lineups and matchups.

Every game is the same and yet I watch and think there is a chance but everytime that hope is crushed. Every lead followed my a quarter or 5 minutes of play that resembles trash. Not sure why I even watch the games. This is worse than the 17 win season and we're heading for an identical record.

Do you actually believe yourself when you say stuff like this? Or are you directly related to Westfail?
How the hell can you blame Westphal when we're up 9 and then just miss free throws so that they can cut the lead? Or when Tyreke drives in and puts up ... I don't even know what he was doing. You say that's because Westphal didn't draw up a play. But did he not draw up a play, or did we just not execute it?

i love how hate for paul westphal blinds so many people. do u even watch the game? in the 4th we shot like 50% from the line. in the last couple minutes we kept missing FTs. we missed 12 Fts!!! that lost us the game.

I wish Phil Jackson, Larry Brown, or Jerry Sloan could take over just so you all could watch the team make the same stupid bull**** blunders under them.
They'd certainly do better or show more improvement under those coaches, except maybe Larry Brown. Coaching definitely plays a part in it, but today we just lost because of free throws. What's new? We got a billion more attempts than them, that WAS our offense. But if the players don't knock it down, not much the coach can do.

Everyone loves to throw out the "well if just made our FT's..."

YES. THAT IS TRUE. WE WENT INTO OT BECAUSE OF THE FT'S.

Now let's move on. What lost the OVERTIME for us? We had 5 minutes to win the game after it went into OT.

Here's a hint...it WASN'T FREE THROWS.

Our poor free throw shooting definitely let the Warriors tie the game in the fourth, but that didn't factor in during OT. We still were absolutely horrible on offense during OT, and defense was nothing special either.

Exactly. The warriors won because they have players who execute better because they are more skilled.

When you have a player like Evans, who isn't as skilled and relies upon his athleticism to make plays, he can hurt the team in close situations like tonight where he drives to nowhere on the baseline and throws up a prayer, or leaves his feet and then looks to pass, resulting in a turnover. Or Cousins who tries to force things too much and make too many moves and ends up with a travel or offensive foul. The game was there, and the warriors won because Ellis and Curry were better than anybody in a Kings uniform, and the kings were unable to make FT's or play sound basketball. This team has talent, but unfortunately it doesn't have skilled, high IQ players, and I will say if Evans doesn't make a huge improvement this summer I would make him avaliable.

lol if we hit free throws guess what happens? heres a hint...we win. the whole rest of your argument is moot. there is no overtime and you cant blame the coach on losing it in OT because we already won. im not saying westphal isnt to blame for some of our losses, but dont let you hate for him blind you. this game was lost because of FTs. end of story

It seems to me that this team's problem is almost 100% mental. Unless they had a coach with a Master's in psychology, I don't see how anyone else would put a stop to this continual choking.
