Making the Kings relevant again 2 trades:

#1
Trade 1: After completion of Melo to NJ Denver gets Harris and flips him to Sacramento for Omri Casspi and and an 8 million TPE. This gets the Nuggets well under the Lux tax, saves them a bunch of money and they get a high potential SF to replace Carmelo with.

Trade 2: Donte Greene, Jason Thompson and unprotected 2011 1st round pick for Danny Granger and Tyler Hansbrough. The Pacers move a lot of dough and get a starting caliber PF to build forward with. Greene and George can hold down the fort at the SF position and Indiana likely gets two lotto picks this year.

Kings now have a competitive roster going forward:

C: Cousins, Dalembert, Whiteside
PF: Landry, Hansbrough, Jackson
SF: Granger, Garcia
SG: Evans, Taylor, Head
PG: Harris, Beno, Jeter

Kings rebuilt!

Not bad but I don't think we need to blow it up that much. If we can just find a way to get Granger I will consider this a VERY successful season no matter the final record.

yuck, we get stuck w/ stubby landry who will command at least 6 mill+ or who will walk and leave us with nothing. we still have daly also. if we resign them both around market value we'd be looking at adding 15-17 mill to our roster. casspi, greene, JT are half our youngsters in our rebuild.

i'd rather take our chances in the lottery again and free agency. we might get lucky and get a gift like david kahn did w/ al jefferson in the offseason.

The guy that's dropping 20+ points a game since 'Reke went down? Oh, okay....

I like the increase in talent, but that would probably be the worst 3 point shooting team in the league. And if Granger, Cousins, and Reke are the big time scorers I think putting an offense only PF like Landry in there is a bad fit. Not horrible trades but the roster has some major issues.

Harris is a scoring PG. Not good with Reke.

Why do people think that the Pacers needs to trade Granger to dump salary or clear up cap space? They will have the second most cap space as is for next year right behind us. They don't really need to trade Granger unless its a good deal for them.

And we are losing because we are getting outrebounded. Then you have the chance of Landry and Dally not being here after this year so you are stuck with Cousins, Jackson, Hansbrough, Whiteside. Nah we need to Keep JT for a 3rd big.

It's easier to find a 3rd big in Free Agecy than it is a starting PG and Starting SF on reasonable contracts.

There is zero chance that the Pacers do that deal. They can do better. They would want at least Casspi, Landry and the first rounder more than likely.

Anyway, I don't know why people are all of a sudden convinced that Granger is a legit possibility. It was a vague rumour, and now people seem sure that he'll be on the move.

They may like Casspi more than Greene, I can see that, but I would mortgage the farm that they prefer JT over Landry.

Well said. I don't know whats worse these ridiculous trades or that some people find a way to reject them because they want to hold onto the JT's of the world. Its like the Amare trade thread all over again.

Probably a minor thing, but we can potentially sign and trade Landry, right?

I know it's not very likely. However, he is worth more than the mid level. Unless CBA changes dramatically, only few teams under the cap can sign him, and give him decent money (in fact, a new CBA might limit him even more). We might not get much, but I doubt we'll get a lot if we trade him now either.
