Landry+Thompson rip people for not knowing plays or wanting to know plays, uh oh!

I just think with Donte's defense and knowing his role in the offense he is better suited as anybody we got for the SF position. I think he plays within himself on offense and does a nice job of moving without the ball (probably as good as anybody on the team). He needs to work on his handle still as he dribbles to far away from his body.
In 5 years Donte will be a very nice player. He is someone who, and he himself admits this, would have benefited from staying in school another year or two. He has many of the physical attributes that make up a good player in today's NBA, but has not refined his skills and learned to play with consistency. Now, in 5 years will he be in a Kings uniform? I'd wager to say no.

I'll bite :D

I think Greene is trying to play within the parameters that PW set for him to get play time. Which is play defense - shoot the open shot (whether it goes in or not). He has shown his athleticism to create for himself and others although it tended to be more flashier in the past then now. Casspi seems to be the more consistant shooter and aggressor on defense but at times we see him go into tunnel mode and forget others are on the team and instead of making the easy pass he takes a tougher road to the hoop - which is annoying to some of us, this is something Donte doesn't do. Casspi while reports of his defense being improved really hasn't shown much of it throughout the season, we have enough trouble containing these elite scoring wings and they seem to burn Casspi at will while Donte seems to slow them down (but you already know this). I think really what it comes down to is the visual impact seen on the defensive end.

Both players have a ways to go but they're both young luckily. They both need to work on their game a lot and other aspects - but if a trade were to be made for a more complete SF I think it would benefit us otherwise we're stuck with growing pains and us seeing their worst until we see their best.
I am not really fond of either option we have right now. Greene's offense is part of the reason we are averaging 85ppg since going 3-1 and Casspi can't hit the side of a pbarn right now nor defend that barn either.

Garcia just hasn't been himself, and is a bench player at best...

I would rather we just try to trade for someone or wait and draft the best available SF out there.

Man. Greene starting has been one of the few good things of late. Can't we complain about the bad stuff instead? If you need help, I'll jumpstart the discussion.

Cousins, humble or psychopath? maybe both
Casspi, WTF happened to him. He sucks
Tyreke, see Casspi
Beno, if you're going to suck at defense, stop making your stop n' pop jumpers so we can simply hate you, otherwise you're a confusing enigma
Head, where'd the defense go?
PW, your substitutions are mind boggling
etc.

it's easy, but complaining about Greene or Dalembert missing jumpers. my oh my

If it was my choice I would go out there with 4 players. :) That's how much I am hating the SF position right now. I didn't think it was going to be this bad going into the season. I wanted Casspi to succeed but he's not doing anything out there.

I think winning will solve some of the issues, but there are glaring weaknesses to this team. We do need someone to play along side of Evans.. Beno isn't cutting it this year. We also need a SF that can consistently hit a 3pt shot. I am not concerned with out bigs since we seem to have enough of them. Our guard play, SF and 3pt shooting need work. We need to space better and get the ball to the big down low more often so we aren't as predictible.

I just don't think Greene is that good and I will leave it at that. If you people disagree then you disagree. just keep the stupid comments to yourself (referring to the idiot that commented on Antonio Anderson).
Lol Chill out Bro your the one who liked Antonio Anderson and brought up Donte being a D-leaguer, so you put two and two together. And Lmao @ me being a retard and your the one who wanted to sign Anderson are you not? So who's really the retard here? Come on now Donte has been doing a solid job at the SF position. Yeah he doesn't score 30 pts a game...well thats not his job. The last 5 games Donte has been solid.

10.4 pts, 5.2 rebs, and more importantly 1.2 blks in 26 minutes a game...Just because he's having a slump from the 3-point line, your starting to panic? The guy is still only 22 yrs old, why don't you back off and let him play.

You don't need a SF that is a lights out 3pt shooter as long as that guard beside Tyreke can. Lets see we need a guard 6'3 to 6'5 that can create for others, play good defense, shoot a high percentage 3pt, play of a pick roll, can catch and shoot. I think everybody needs that guy lol.

Yah like giving the guy a 10 day contract last season just to check him out would have been a big deal.. Or inviting him to summer league.. He's better than Udoka, and he plays well with Evans. The "playing well with Evans" was the reason I thought it would be a good idea to give him a look.. Laugh at it all you want because it just shows your ignorance, and bringing it up during this discussion shows how dumb you are acting.

Greene would not be starting if he weren't on the Kings. His defense has been what is keeping him starting here but his offense isn't doing us any favors. Like I said in another thread I would rather lose 115-110 than 100-85 like we have been doing. Our team defense looks like crap and we are allowing teams to shoot 45-50% almost every game lately. The reason they aren't scoring 120 on us is because we take 20 seconds to shoot the ball almost every possession.

I like to have two 3pt threats on the floor at the same time for spacing puroses. Evans hasn't added the 3pt shot yet so he cannot be counted on to hit anything outside 17ft. Way back we had Peja, Bibby, and to a lesser extent Christie.

I believe Miami's problem is spacing as well. Wade, James and Bosh all clogging the lane because none of them can hit the outside jumper... Actually I don't think anyone in that starting unit can hit the 3pt shot outside Arroyo who doesn't shoot much anyway. Look at the other top teams, they all have atleast 2 in their starting lineups. Not saying we need to become a 3pt shooting team but we do need a couple out there (especially the Kings) to space the floor better because we aren't good enough to get by on playing inside alone. Our starting lineup right now is averaging something like 23% from 3pt distance right now.. That's sad and predictable. They can play a zone against us and kill us like they have been doing..

Lol you still don't get it do you? SF isn't the only problem buddy. We had a midget PF starting, a defensive center, and luther head...What did you expect 120 pts a game? Donte isn't the problem, it's the team as a whole. Tell me, besides Tyreke who is struggling right now there really isn't anyone else to carry the offensive burden every night. Beno? Garcia? don't think so. Right now we are relying on Cousins to hurry up and grow up quickly into an offensive machine, but until then we are going to struggle because there isn't another scoring option on this team.

Greene, Casspi and the whole team would have a higher shooting percentage if this team was a lot more accurate and timely with passes.
You know, that's a great point. A LOT of the passes are 1-3ft off the mark. Sometimes guys are jumping for the ball on those drive and kicks. It's pretty damn tough to shoot in rhythm when the ball's not being delivered properly. Outside rhythm, if it takes .5 to gather the ball, you're now covered when you weren't before.

Evan's passes have been bad this year, but I feel like it's been most of the other guys too.

I was referring to your out of place Antonio Anderson comment since you seemed intent on talking about it.. Or were you trying to insult me in some way hmmmm?
