Either he's mad at GP for not resigning him (like me), or he didn't want to come back for the following reason:

REFRESHER COURSE: New/old Spurs swingman Ime Udoka says it isn’t difficult to erase the remnants of the Sacramento Kings’ system.

“It’s not hard to forget that,” said Udoka, 33, who spent last season with the Kings after two with the Spurs. “It was a lot of standing around.”

Signed Wednesday to a veteran minimum contract, Udoka doesn’t think it will take him long to re-learn the Spurs’ system.

“There’s still a ton of plays, like always,” Udoka said. “It’s just a matter of refreshing your memory.”

Yah I don't really blame him for saying that because it's true.. We can all see it when watching the games. It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.

First time I brought this up in more than a year, but Rubio anyone? :) just playing.

Less likely to with such a creative passer. Hate to compare it to "work" again but when you have a creative mind at work who gets things done the rest of the staff feeds off that energy which in turn gives the creative mind some as well.

Naturally. But even Steve Nash wouldn't flourish IF there was no proper offensive system and guys were standing around just waiting for something to happen. Like you said, it's easier to move when you've got good ball movement starting from your point guard, but ultimately there is only so much the PG can do, the rest is dependent on guys moving and executing what the coach draws up.

The rest is dependent on the players to use their knowledge and play a smart game, this is why they are professionals. They dont have to run every play off of the coach.

Guys are standing around waiting for something to happen because our team doesnt have any good pg's. Beno could qualify, but hes adopted more of a combo guard role alongisde our other guards.

LOL.... no.. I would look at trading Casspi, Beno, Dalembert or whoever and take a bad contract of theirs + Rubio though.. But I want to keep Evans, and Cousins.

The BIG problem with this though is that Evans is not as useful when you have a PG handling the ball most of the time. He's gonna have to learn to play off the ball is this were to happen. I don't think he would be a 20/5/5 guard anymore.

You are all talking like a STANDING AROUND offense is acceptable and something the team needs to deal with. WTF?? There needs to be HARD questions answered by the people coaching and building this team. Do they think the players are not smart enough to know a real offense? Are the coaches not smart enough to implement a real offense? This smells to high hell!

I think that the 20/5/5 was manufactured by the Kings front office in order to try and sell tickets this year. It seems to me that not only did the Kings go way out of their way to make sure Tyreke hit those marks, but didn't care if the team lost so long as Tyreke was able to hit those rookie records. I think that the whole idea behind marketing Tyreke was to inflate his numbers and get him over the top with the rookie of the year voting. Tyreke was worn down by that push to be great down the stretch. Now, with 2 bad ankles and a sophmore season to play, Tyreke is not as able as he was to be the sparkplug for the Kings. I think the Kings DESPERATLY need to sit Evans and allow him to heal up. He does not even look like the same player as last season. He looks slow and his efforts to penetrate are not nearly as effective. If he isnt injured, then he isnt playing as hard as he did last season. His jumper is still a work in progress. The Kings as a team are a chemistry experiment gone horribly wrong! They are spending nearly 52 million this year on payroll (10th Lowest in the league), and yet they do NOT have even ONE all star caliber player on the roster. The Kings have no consistent scorers on the roster! The only player who is even semi all star caliber is Tyreke and he is playing so poorly he cant even average double figures. The Kings are a train wreck right now, and the conductor is Paul Westphal. The Engineer is Geoff Petrie. They are the ones who need to get this train back on the track! Whether or not Tyreke is injured, he needs to just SIT OUT for a WEEK! What will be the consequence... losing? I think the Kings can handle that, since losing is all they have done this season. Let Tyreke get his game back, and maybe then this team can compete again. What alternatives do the Kings Front Office have? A less that 100% Tyreke is not effective in the least. The team is spiraling out of control. The season is so young, yet the Kings are digging a hole they will never be able to get out of. Was losing part of the plan AGAIN for Geoff Petrie and the Kings? Then stop it with all the "Here We RISE" Crap! The Clippers look like a team on the rise. The Kings are a team that is plummeting to the very depths of the league AGAIN!

I think there are two separate issues your talking about here. One is whether Tyrekes stats are legit, and the other is whether the team tryed to help him obtain those stats. As far as the team trying to help him put up good numbers, why shouldn't they? Isn't it their job to try and develop a young player and to also try and create excitement about the team. You certainly can't fault them for that.

There was nothing illegitimate about Evans numbers last year. The only thing a team can do is give him the minutes and put the ball in his hands enough for him to be effective. He still has to go out and perform. You can't just give any player 37 minutes a game and expect 20/5/5 out of him. It takes a special player to do it. Wade, to whom he's been compared most often averaged 35 MPG, 16.3 PPG, 4.1 RPG, and 1.4 SPG on 46.5% shooting. Compare that to Evans who averaged 37 MPG, 20 PPG, 5.8 APG, 5.3 RPG and 1.5 SPG, on 45.8% shooting. I guess one could say that the Heat helped Wade accomplish his stats as well. LeBron averaged 39 MPG his rookie year with almost identical stats to Evans and shot worse at 41.7%.

The difference between Tryeke and the other two so far, is this year. Both the other players started putting up better numbers in their second year, whereas so far Tyreke has seemed to regress. Its easy to point a finger at the Maloof's advertising campaign right now, but there were many on this fourm that were also optimistic about the Kings this year and very few of us predicted whats happening right now. I mean what did anyone expect the Maloofs to do. Say,don't miss a chance to come out an watch our losing crappy team? They obviously expected the team to be better than it is right now. I for one can't blame them for that. I seriously doubt that losing was part of the plan. If it were they wouldn't have spent big bucks on ticket sales and advertising. I really doubt that anyone in the ivory tower is very happy right now.

Ime’s comments don’t surprise me. Something that bothered me from last year (and almost every year since Rick left) was the standing around. We basically gave the ball to Tyreke and said penetrate (which wasn’t a bad thing) but everybody else was a spot up shooter. Nobody moved.

I’ve probably said this a million times but we need an offense where the guys move without the ball. It’s pretty sad when I see a player stuck in the corner (with defenders all around him) with the ball in his hands and the other players stay in their spot and wait till the guy with the ball to pass to them.
