[Game] Kings @ Cavs, 10/30/10 4PM

I watched the cavs broadcast of the game. You know what they got some names wrong but it seems to me like they really respected what the kings were doing. It was like they knew they would have a hard time winning this game. the had a lot of respect for Evans, Cuz, and Casspi by their announcers. Don't count us out watch us give it a chance. We have played only three games and have more wins than losses on the road..... that is impressive no matter what you thought they might do.!
What a frustrating last 3 minutes. A couple of TO's, Reke waiting til about 10 seconds in the shotclock to start getting into the offense and forcing shots. We got a break that Cleveland didn't capitalize from us scoring 1 point after the 3 minute mark. Besides that, what a game by Omri! He was lighting it up like crazy, he finally put some nice arch on that shot and got better lift. He also played scrappy which was very important. Cousins had a pretty nice game himself, scoring inside and out, also got a double double. Carl was just hitting everything, that was great to see, we don't have to just rely on Reke/DC, we got Carl to throw it to himself and he can produce for us. Beno had 11 assists, which was nice to see. Dalembert made himself a presence in the post with the limited time he was on the floor. Donte didn't play until the last possession in the quarter and we didn't see a lot of Cisco either. Head/Jackson combo off the bench has been working pretty well, let's hope it continues. How cool would it of been to say were 3-0!! but no if's or but's about it, I'll take it, especially on the road.
If that's the game plan, I'm not a big fan of it. I can understand doing an ISO in the 1 minute period, we still have plenty of time to keep the offense flowing like it was through either Demarcus or Carl, one or the other the ball should move more than it did those last 3 minutes. I swear I was talking to myself asking why do we keep doing this to ourselves.
He has definitely been seeing the floor better so far in this season. One of the bad things of the draw and kick is that it sometimes works to well to a degree that a player is hemmed in by the collapsing defenders to the point of not being able to get the ball out cleanly. This was the case in the particular play in question.

I gotta disagree. Reke's vision has regressed. He has more offensive options this year and is not utilizing them. He needs to learn:
-Free throw line decisions
-To find his big man moving towards the hoop
-Drawing more contact
He got to the FT line a lot last year, they are calling more fouls this year and he is making simple layups more complex with up and under avoidance moves. I don't get it.

I think Reke should just be aggressive every time he gets it at the top of the key. Just pick a side and drive, that's exactly what Lebron does and he gets to the line over and over again.
Someone has got to tell me how you can be lights out from three land but can't hit a free throw.
Impressed with Casspi though; Ray Allen numbers from the three point line.

Reke going to the lane and drawing more contact is so critical! I agree with whats been said about it above.
It seems like his penetrations so far have been make or break.. he needs to make the foul happen creating contact.. he was great at that last year.
And the last 2-3 minutes were just terrible.
I mean you got your offence clicking, Landry is just KILLING them with those 18 footers and they have to doubleteam him everytime he touchs the ball... you got Omri red hot beyond the arc.. so why do you not start your offence with Landry haveing a touch on the ball? it would make stuff much more easier with them jumping on the double team..
And the thing is it's Westpall fault, cuase I can't imagine reke ignoring orders and taking fadeaway jumpers and stuff like that on his own.
