Congrats Tyreke on ROY!! Also, great to know you'll be representing Kings organization in NYC for NBA draft lottery. As you said, "hope we get a good pick"... or I'll add a great one! Go Kings and go Tyreke in 2010-11!!

I dunno, I think if you were to ask Tyreke, the "Carmichael Dave ROY trophy" might mean more to him.

;)

Congrats!

Congrats Reke! That's awesome. I flipped on ESPN this afternoon and saw his speech. I didnt know they had given the award out yet. Next up MVP!

Congrats Tyreke! Awesome day!

I wasn't sure they were gonna give it to him free and clear. I have to admit there were worthy adversaries. Curry is gonna be a damn fine player for years to come and Jennings is tearing it up in the playoffs. Tyreke deserved this because as good as the rest were he was just better. Like everyone else I'm stunned by the consistency of his rookie campaign.

Celebrate! But before he get's MVP I hope what's next for Tyreke are awesome playoff wins!

What's with the national public hate for Reke? Reke isn't even winning 1 poll and is in 2nd in only 2. Man, thank god it isn't up to the public for ROY. http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/polls?pCat=46&sCat=1229
Probably a population center thing. 2/3 of the US lives east of the Mississippi. Time zones. They don't watch Tryeke. But they do see inflated box score lines and those stick sometimes, hence Curry's popularity. Plus Curry is actually pretty good. The thing about Tyreke is that his overall game is so dominant that he doesn't have a gimmick or easy signature. Of course, if you watch him you know what he does.

But Anyway... WAY TO GO TYREKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's dropped to 56%, as the population has shifted west over the last several decades. I do think you have a point about the time zone thing, though. It's easier for us to watch the eastern teams than vice versa. And, with our TV schedule, it's hard for anyone to watch Kings games. Hopefully that will change some next season.

Congrats, Tyreke!

Went to the Tyreke Rally tonight. Best part was when Westpaul was up there and said " in 5 years it's going to MVP, and a championship." Everybody started changing "MVP! MVP!" Tyreke's big brother looks over to Tyreke and kept saying " yeah that's right..."

Ecstatic to see that Tyreke and his family have set lofty goals for him, and he's going to be working toward those goals.

I was just about to make a post about that. It makes me sick how much crap there is up on ESPN.

There is an ESPN insider article entitled "Real Rookie Of The Year?". Yes, Jennings is doing great in the playoff. I love Jennings game and I think he is going to have a great NBA career. It's not who has the better team and was able to go to the playoffs... It's about more then just that.

Most of the people that did that vote probably just got done reading the article. Either that or Jennings was sitting on ESPN voting, deleting cookies, voting again, etc...

Congrats to Reke. And to think, that during the Kings draft party nearly a year ago, I was the only one yelling his name while the rest of the crowd was yelling for a certain player who hasn't even come over yet when it was our turn to pick;):D

with all of 4500 votes in those things not sure you can exactly call them representative. More likely whatever board/tweet got the link out first.

Also have to remember that a signifcant percentage (as in way over half) of any group of national "fans" have no idea at all what they are talking about with Reke because of the virtual media blackout of the Kings after the pathetic showing last year. Curry has been shoved down everybody's throat, Jennings was absurdly hyped early and now gets the playoff stage. And then there's Reke, trapped in a smaller market with almost no national TV exposure.

We have a good summer and the ROY maybe that will finally start to change again next year. Just please no nationally televisd games against Battier or Portland until he gets that J down.
