What the hell happened to Noc? He provided leadership, defense, constant hustle, and was a decent shooter. Now he thinks he's Reggie freaking Miller, but is converting like Sergio freaking Rodriguez. But whether or not his shot is falling, he's not having anywhere near the impact on defense that he used to have.

One thing I don't understand about tonights loss. Why didn't we give Spencer the ball at the elbow and run the high-post offense through him, and try to bring Howard away from the hoop? That would have been our one advantage in matching up against Dwight. We tried it once or twice, the spacing was terrible, and we never went back to it.

I'm getting the impression that Westphal is keeping the playbook pretty simple with these guys at this point. I'm just a little shocked we didn't see Spencer with the ball up high, and send cutters back door and get some movement off the ball going towards the hoop.
He ran the offense that way from the high post with Shaq against the Cavs, so I don't see what the problem could have been.

JUst got back from the game...

Thompson had so many WTF moments I lost count...from several airballs to turnovers. Hilton Armstrong might be challenging him for minutes in a few games.

Kings completely went cold in the fourth quarter. Shooters couldn't make even wide open shots. Teams know how to play the Kings now...just stop Tyreke and dare everyone else to make shots. When is Garcia and Martin coming back?

Dwight Howard did not need to be double and triple teamed every time. When was he abusing single coverage? Other than JT that is... I didn't see him take over on a single man. What I saw was most of the time, he was getting fouled by help defenders and sent to the line. What I did not see is the Kings attempting to front him at all and deny him the ball which would negate his great positioning. That's how the Lakers and Gasol stopped him. Deny position, let him beat you straight up, and don't leave open 3 point shooters.

you can send noc to the PBA.... he can either be a Beerman or a King again lol

san miguel Beermen or Barangay Ginebra Kings...

both teams having a theme of liquor beer or gin

perfect fit for him after his alcohol encounter? :D

Boy that was a rough loss. Imagine what the game would have looked like had VC played? I don't think the Kings young players are learning from games like this. I don't think Westphal had his best coaching job this evening. Sub patterns were not good and time outs were not called till the Kings had already collapsed on defense. Doubling Howard with 4 players is genius, but that left open 3 good outside shooters. If they were hitting their 3's the Kings would have been totally blown out. I keep hoping the Kings can acquire a real big man in the paint that can challenge shots and make a difference in the lane. Hawes just isn't physically up to the challenge.

Evans was totally shut down by Howard. Howard was there waiting for him every time except for a few miraculous drives by Evans that were awesome to see. The Magic turned up the heat in the 4th and it was all over. Bummer...Gortat and Ryan Anderson both outplayed Spencer. We really need a permanent solution at center...:(

how about we tie 4 horses to each of brockmans limbs and see what happends?
well.... we either have a tall and lengthy beast

or

we have a variety of either
1 legged brock,
no arm brock, half arm leg brock?
all arms brock..
or Torso brock

but i bet EITHER of these will still out rebound spence and jt

Just got back from the game and man what an uninspired 4th quarter. I am getting soooooo annoyed when JT comes out of the game. His attitude just sucks. He walks ssssssllllloooooowwwwwwlllllyyyyyy to the bench and he makes some of the most stupid turnovers.

I think the game was lost with the players we had on the floor at the beginning of the 4th. Noc, JT and Sergio all on the floor at the same time. Bad combo Coach. It absolutely killed our momentum.
This is exactly what I saw. Bad group synergy. The players PW had on the floor to start the 4th were not functioning together. PW was slow to realize this, and he didn't call a TO until the Magic were up by TEN! Heck, the game was effectively over by then. Poor play by a few players (how about that Udoka Start?), coupled with poor ececution, poor shot selection, and poor coaching. That will get you a loss at home OR on the road.

I am hoping when K-Mart gets back, there will be better team offense. Right now our offense is TOO simplified. Everyone knows now that we are trying to have Evans with the ball to break down his man and drive the lane. But with Howard the Goalie (Kick save and a beauty!) Evans was unable to get to the rim and finish. He hurried his shots on his drives and missed many bunnies... I don't know what to say about JT. It's in his head now, the slump that is. He needs confidence to return to his effective play of earlier in the year. The JT 15 foot jumper has all but disappeared. They played hard, but not smart. Hopefully they can get the ship back on coarse or those Kings fans will realize that the return to greatness is on hold

Is it me or has Casspi been playing a ton of minutes lately? Now I think that's great, maybe they are giving him a run before everyone is healthy again, but to be consistently playing 35-40 minutes at his intensity level, for a kid who has never played that many minutes in Europe (not to mention many fewer games), has to be pretty exhausting. Like I said, in the near future he might be sitting on the bench a lot longer so this run of games with many minutes might be a good thing, but just watching him run all over the place makes me feel tired, I can just imagine how he feels.

now imagine if he became a scoring threat.. and his defender chasing him all around the court..

when i saw him do that dribble fake and 3pt shot it didnt go in yes but it reminded me of peja esque moves :D

I was at the game and I'm not sure we were watching the same one. Howard abused everyone who crossed his path. JT, Hawes, Brockman. Only one who stopped him was Donte and that was one play in the entire game and required a double team.

Seriously, Howard's whole post repertoire was on display today. He went to his right, to his left, an off glass sky hook, finishing things that our bigs are incompetent at doing.

There is no way to sugarcoat it. All of our bigs got murdered.

You mean the parking lot? :p
When Martin is back he will be taking about 20 shots per game. Not much left for Casspi and the others...
they barely have enough space on the bench with may around i saw a clip of the bench where udrih had to tap jason's arm to move over lol not much space in the bench i see :D

One thing about rebounds is I generally want to look at the team numbers first. We give Omri credit for rebounding well but remember someone has to box out. If spence boxes out well allowing the team to get the board and we win on the boards then I'm not going to pick on his rebounding. That's the way I see it
