Omri Casspi (merged)

Omri is going to be a multiple time all-star. Mark my words. And this draft will go down as one of the best for any team of all time. And, Omri's number will end up one day hanging in the rafters of the new Arco Arena, next to Tyreke's and maybe even Brockman's. Mark the words. They will become reality. And that is a proclamation, folks. Mark 'em.
Look, I love what Brockman brings to the team, but I don't see him as future retired jersey. Tyreke? Certainly. Casspi? Maybe, if the cards fall just right. Brockman? No, he's a fan favorite, and reminds in many ways of Pollard, but he's not the unbeatable kind of guy that gets his jersey hung up in the rafters. This is hard to say (but unfortunately true): No amount of heart or hustle can make up for his physical limitations.

All that being said, Brockman is one of my favorite Kings. I don't think his role is going to expand much in the future, but that's okay. He comes in, knocks a few guys around, and gives us an element of toughness that we otherwise lack.

omris shot is incredible, he has great balance on fadeaways and he uses that step back jumper like no one ive seen. he reminds me of a better shooting better rebounding prince, he will be our glue player just like prince is in detroit.

Can we just put him in the next game against the lakers to "accidentally" collide with kobe?

sergio should have jumped when kobe was jumping over him.... or gave him a decent fireman's carry....

is it unethical for a coach to say.. whenyou foul kobe i dont want you to hold him throw him down? i mean a nasty hard foul "nothing in the head nothing dirty just hard and nasty.... " shake him good

Well, you're gonna get called even if you just breath on him. Might as well make him remember it...

You forgot.... He's 21 years old!!!!

People seriously!!! Take a trip outside Sac every once in a while!!! ESPN the Mother herself has been ranking him consistently as the number 3/4 rookie in the league!!! People!! And he's been ripping it up AFTER those rankings came out!!! And look at the way he plays... the confidence... his balance (yes, exactly as you put it Optimus), the step-back, and his three point percentage can no longer be considered a fluke after this long!! It's his friggin rookie season! People from Sac, I'm telling you!! Get some fresh air!!! He will get even better!!!

What is it here? Have you reached your capacity for excitement about the future of this team??? Are you only capable of handling so much positivity?? Well... expand your horizons!!! Cause we just drafted TWO all-stars!! And Donte is the third!!! And JT possibly the fourth!!!! DYNASTY people!!! Get. It. In. Your. Brain.

Man, I hope you're right. I'm not disagreeing with you, I just have some reservations.

He is really doing great right now and is without any doubt a starter.
Its amazing to see how he developed within this short period of time and the pressure that is on him seems only to motivate him and push him to great performances.
I am very hesitating to talk right now about HOF..lets stay on the ground and let this kid develop.
I really hope that when KMart is back- Omri´s minutes will not be cutted to a minimum so that he can continue his journey to a solid NBA player.

GO KINGS!!

he will be in HoF if he has a solid career all star or no allstar he will be there... he is the first israeli player... his diplomatic effect to the basketball world... in his country i bet he will be considered as HoF...

The only question I have is when he becomes an All Star. Fourth year? He has a ton of talent. What makes him special is that he's not "just" a great three point shooter. He can drive and post. And he has the willingness and ability to be a good defender and rebounder. And he can pass. What else is there? I guess he's not going to lead the league in shot blocking. So give him four years to be an All Star. That's when this team will be smoking...

if it would be some one it would have to be kobe... i would want casspi to clock him silly with a "tough play"
I'd go with Kobe too

Having already answered my question about Rodriguez with a crack about how the Spanish point guard was too small to make any difference in that moment, he kept the comments coming on his way out of the locker room.
"Come on, man," he said with a smile. "That (rhymes with brother trucker) had his chance in Beijing."
Alas, Bryant wasn't flawless late. His reference was to the Spanish team that fell to Team USA in the gold medal game of the 2008 Summer Olympics, but Rodriguez didn't play on that team. It was an incredibly disappointing experience for Rodriguez to be left off the roster, but this qualified as a downer as well.

And once again, the brave little soldier shows what he's made of ... and his ignorance. I cannot question his skill or ability, but pretty much every thing else about him is sleazy. The mere fact he's talking that much smack about a player on the lowly Kings means, despite what he may want us to believe, we are in his head. He and Pau - and the rest of his reigning championship team - celebrated that win like they'd just blown out the Celtics in 4 straight for another title.

Face it, Bryant. You can hear the footsteps and I'm pretty sure you know in the place inside you only go to very late at night when no one is around that sooner or later you're going to quit getting the star treatment. When that happens, you're going to be hard-pressed to win these kinds of games. Why? Because you will have fouled out in the 3rd quarter.

Oddly enough, his attempts to disrespect our young team only make me more proud of them. And I strongly suspect the BLS is going to be keeping an eye on our Casspi, rather like a ribbon-winning show champion keeps a close eye on the pitbull.
