Omri Casspi (merged)

The only question I have is when he becomes an All Star. Fourth year? He has a ton of talent. What makes him special is that he's not "just" a great three point shooter. He can drive and post. And he has the willingness and ability to be a good defender and rebounder. And he can pass. What else is there? I guess he's not going to lead the league in shot blocking. So give him four years to be an All Star. That's when this team will be smoking...
What else is there?
The most important part...his attitude.

He doesn't give up and unselfish. He fight and fight hard. I love the guy.

omri casspi, the 23rd pick in the '09 nba draft, is a top-5 rookie...

he could very well be a top-3 rookie, when its all said and done, unless blake griffin lights up the nba when he returns from injury...

regardless, casspi was an absolute steal, to say nothing of how fortunate the kings were that tyreke evans fell to the 4th pick in the draft...

the kings 14-19 record is unfortunate, however, because, imo, they've been playing .500 basketball, but just haven't learned how to seal the deal in close games against quality opponents yet...

you turn that loss against the cavs and those two losses against the lakers (all winnable games in the final moments of regulation) into wins, and this is a 17-16 basketball team who just set the league on fire and are potentially fighting for the eighth seed in an incredibly competitive western conference...

that would be a helluva story. shame it hasn't turned out that way, cuz this young, scrappy team and their fans deserve a couple of breaks and a great story line to accompany such a welcome resurgance...

We still have time. Martin needs to heal up and hopefully by then we won't be any more than 3 under .500. I'm really hoping for a win against Phoenix this week... were kind of due for a big win. I guess we beat Denver... but were still due.
