Personally...
I think Hawes, K9, Martin, and Noci need to go.... Probably better suited for a thread in the personel boards though

Even though I think Hawes will eventually develop into something worth while... I don't think we have the patience to wait for it.... KMart + Hawes could fetch a pretty good big I'd think
You're right... and since the game thread is going to be closed shortly and transferred to the game archives, you might want to actually start this as a new thread in the Personnel Moves forum.

It's pretty sad how I can expect this to happen and not be angry at all about it.

Until the Kings get rid of Slawes and get a legit middle, how can you possible think the Kings can keep up with teams that has a big that isn't scared to play basketball? It's as simple as that. Oh, and making FTs. That's just killing them.

Now it is, but the point is one of the major factors in winning these sort of games is actually BELIEVING you can do it, even if you're down by 5 with less than a minute left in the game. You have 48 minutes to play - use all of them until the last second, even if you are down and having a bad game. Sometimes a couple of good plays in the last minute of the game can fix 10 bad plays in the minutes preceding it.

We lost the game in the 3rd, when Spencer got eaten alive over the first 4 minutes. We will never win on the road when we get 2 rebs from our center position, including zero in the 2nd half.

Most troubling thing about Spencer: I don't think his teammates have any confidence in him. Every time he doesn't get a reb or lays up some soft piece of crap that rolls off the rim, everyone else just kind of shakes there head. We haven't seen any improvement from him since game 1.

I almost feel like Spence came here feeling like he was entitled to start... But doesn't ever show us he deserves too. We were all pulling for him to start through last season, but it had to be "given" to him.... He never really earned it and we all thought it was bad Theus and Natt... I'm not so sure anymore

spencer needs to never show his face again...

why are we ahead in the 4th quarter of every road game and just blow it? if theres not a pass, DONT PASS IT! if theres not a shot, DONT SHOOT IT! stupid errors that anybody who plays basketball should know not to do. theyre GIVING these games away

Two moves I didn't agree with tonight was taking Casspi out after he hit that three and not playing Kenny Thomas in the 4th. **** I'm pissed. WE SHOULD HAVE WON THIS DAMN GAME!!!

It all began to fall when JT got 3 successive fouls in the fourth.
And we badly need another big now (a legit one).

May is already available for trade since its December...we can package him and Udoka with Noc to get a legit big. That should be it!

Since I wasn't out there playing, I didn't think my comment would have an impact on the game.

And, since I'm arguably the most optimistic poster on this board, and the ultimate homer, I think it's somewhat telling that I knew deep in my heart of hearts we weren't going to pull this out. Of course, it could be intuition based on watching every televised Kings game since they came to Sacramento, and a fair number of games in person.

I'm usually the one waving the towel and urging people to have faith.

i blame this loss on my cousin candice, her last name is evans and her evans-evans connection was weak. she was missing shots at basketball practice and tyreke missed that last shot.... its all her fault. everytime we have a game on tuesday we lose because she sucks at basketball... she cant shoot, so tyreke misses shots... its the last name.

Only one explanation to this debacle with Hawes...

He is a woman.

"Spencer" has the incredible illusion of taking on a male body, but we all know...deep inside...it's not Spencer, but Stacy.

All for Stacy Hawes?

Aye!

Its hard to believe when missing free throws down the stretch.

It is essential that we get a center in here ASAP. Not to make a push for the playoffs but to help devolop this team. Hawes is bringing us down. Every time hes in its an advantage for the other team. Lets go Petrie! How obvious can it get?

donte Is Shooting 59% Ft On The Season. That's Pretty Pathetic For This Guy With All The So-called Nba Potential. I'd Bench Him Until He Proves He Can Be More Consistent. Yes, His Last Bucket Was Nice - But More Of A Prayer. Bottom Line Is When Kev And Cisco Return He's Buried Deep On The Bench Where He Belongs For Awhile.
Wrong.

Ok, so I've seen the past few Kings games (first games of the year that I've seen), and here are my thoughts:

I am VERY impressed with Beno Udrih. After a bad year last year, he's really surprised me this year with the way he's playing. I'm impressed with a lot of Kings, but I feel that I have to make my point about Udrih stand out, seeing as how I took him out of my rotation altogether in NBA 2K9.

After a year of being hopeful about our young bigs, this year I am NOT impressed with them. Either of them. Hawes just plain sucks at this point (I know, he's young) and Thompson seems to have a pretty low basketball IQ. I actually like Thompson but he could be much more effective if he made smarter decisions.

Also got to give props to Tyreke (my new favorite player), Casspi, Greene (big fan of his too, although he could work on his shot selection), Rodriguez and Udoka. I don't know about you guys, but I don't think we need Garcia when he comes back. I like our wing players, and I think we should look to trade Garcia, Nocioni and/or Martin, but only for the right deal in Martin's case.

Well, I'm sure the Israeli fans here will testify that we have witnessed quite a few miracles (at least when it comes to Maccabi) in the past years, and we have learned to always keep the faith, and narcissisticaly believe that our faith actually has influence over the team. I personally take credit for quite a few of the big wins, due to my jinxing of the opponents during their free throws in the final minutes of important games :)

I found a bright spot in the score box: Hawes 0-0 for 3s.
Omri played 19 minutes. I feel he got back too late. PW thought he is winning it without Omri and when he figured he actually needs him there, it was one possession from losing the game.

Excellent!!!

I'm also one of the most superstitious people on the board and I'm very glad to know we have another lucky charm in our midst!

Welcome to Kingsfans.com BTW...It's great to see so many Israelis joining and giving their thoughts on the team, the game, etc.

And thank you for giving us Omri.

:D

Channing Frye ****ed all over us when we played against him.

Has Hawes positively impacted a game this season yet?
Yeah, but in Phoenix's system. Who wants a center that stands out by the 3 point line and jacks up three's like its goin out of style? He can make them, but if I was his coach, then he'd be down by the basket or over sitting alongside of me, 1 or the other.
