People aren't trading them because they're old. Well...Cisco is too old to hold bakc Casspi and Greene. But otherwise its big contracts, losing style of play, bad fits, and too many bodies at two positions (SG/SF). Something has to give, so why not the older expensive guys who won 17 games last year and haven't had anything to do with us doing radically betetr so far this year?

The alternative is Kevin comes back, that's 35min. So basically there gos Segio and donte abck to the bench. Then Cisco comes back, that's 20-28, so there goes Casspi. And then aren't we proud. Our two scrawny floppers back to inject purebred softness into the team, and half of our hustling youth benched ot make it happen. Sorry, does not work for me.
Scrawny floppers?

Wow... I'm not sure we're watching the same guys.

He was referring to Kevin Martin and Francisco Garcia...

Not that I agree with him; I'm just clarifying what he was saying because he's been saying it for a very long time.

:)

Not to rain on your parade or anything, but Donte gave up an easy two because of that attempt to "showtime" a dunk. I'd rather see two more points on the board.
Well he did make both FTs, so.. lol, now if he had missed one, I'd see a reason to complain.

If he'd made the basket, he'd have had a +1. ;)

IMO, someone who always wants to "kill the rim" isn't playing smart basketball. Just my two cents...

I know, which is why I'm thinking we're watching 2 different guys.

Martin takes charges, Cisco plays with a lot of heart and toughness.

And nice move inside by Hawes. He looks like he may be playing with a bit more confidence, which could mean a lot for all of us.

:)
Is it possible that Hawes just starts slow? It seems that most games, he looks lost in the 1st quarter and gets schooled. Then he seems to get angry about that and the hustle picks up and he plays much better.

I agree, Donte should've passed that up. All I'm saying is that he did somewhat redeem himself by making both FTs.

Fair enough.

Watching this team of ours has to be frustrating for Theus. And not because of the change in players but because of the change in attitude of the players on the court and the fans in the seats. Theus couldn't motivate players and here's Westphal getting a bunch of new guys to buy into what he's selling AND play TEAM ball for all 48 minutes.

Maybe someone should slap him across the face during warmups to fire him up from the get go.
