I cannot believe how long I had to spend figuring this one out. When I counted up songs I am at least familiar with (and like)....dead even. Had to try and separate those songs that I really love, I mean really really just love the song. Kg4 edges SacKings7 by an 8-7 score. Unbelievable that there were so many songs on each list that I really love.

Sorry, SacKings7, but Kg4 has to get my vote. But, I will tell you that it breaks my heart to have to vote against such a fantastic list of music.

This has been the hardest final I have ever voted on. And, truthfully, I'm good with either of these lists winning.

As far as I'm concerned he's got going away the best song of the 90's decade in Creep, and going away best song in the hair ballad genre in Every Rose Has Its Thorn - sealed it for me a long time ago. In fact, when SK7 selected ERHIT... I sensed it was over so much air went out of my balloon on that pick. That along with the fact that there were only three forays into "diversity" and outside the proper pop-rock sweet spot.

Neither was my favorite of the draft, but here's what did it for me..

Hotel California
Sweet Child O'Mine
Eye of the Tiger
Walk This Way
Beat It

However, Stevie's I Just called to say I love you almost single-handedly gave it to KG4..

:: reads above comments ::

The last three music drafts that I have participated in have taught me that, at least musically speaking, I'm posting on the wrong message board... :p

I still can't believe how good that semifinal was (and our bracket before that too). I never realized just how many great lists we had in this years draft!

Francisco, I almost feel bad for taking Creep 2 picks ahead of you, that was a genuine steal. You had your chance to nab Every Rose though :p

I never expected to make it back to the Finals to be honest. In any case, good luck KingsGirl4!

Both lists are solid, no doubt. But I just couldn't vote against both Rush and Yellow Ledbetter (my heartbreak of the draft, as I thought it would go unnoticed and unwanted until I nabbed it in the late rounds. Oh well...)

Thanks again to everyone who participated in any of these drafts. We'll see you in 2010.

Thanks for all the votes guys! I finally got me a trophy! :p Thanks to everyone who participated, and thanks to VF21 for not only being the commissioner, but asking me to participate in the first place, as I didn't originally plan to. It's been fun!

GO KINGS!

Wow, I didn't follow this draft, but looks like some great lists. If I would have voted, that Only in Dreams pick would've sealed it for me SacKings, even though Kingsgirl's last 5 picks were very, very strong. Great lists.
