Again, some shortening of song titles, etc. had to be done because of character limitations.

Thanks again to everyone who has participated thus far. On a personal note, I've actually found some new music I had never thought I'd like.

Now, let's get to the voting.

FYI - the player rankings are a bit funny. Copy/paste errors, I think.

LoungeLizard took my favorite Weezer song, my favorite Everclear song, my favorite Stevie Wonder song...and maybe my favorite Cars song (if I could ever decide what that actually is). Ryanandty came on strong at the end for me, but the top half wasn't much to my taste. Big props for Sister Christian and Burning Down The House (the Talking Heads and the Cars were two bands I kind of shied away from because I couldn't decide which of their songs to take...)

Francisco D'Anconia and NoBonus was the closest matchup of them all. I had a real tough time, but in the end I think I was swayed (to go against The Spirit Of Radio, even :() by Bawitdaba, which I really dislike. Normally I wouldn't want to decide on a "penalty" but the merits of the lists were so equal I couldn't decide. Nice to see Opportunities get represented here - I would have thought it would go completely under the radar in this draft, despite being a worthy selection.

Thanks! I think I have gone against Francisco D'Anconia and lost in every music related draft I have been in... and for good reason... he knows how to draft music! There is no dishonor in losing to Francisco... now if I could just beat him...

Tough draw for ryanandty. I had your list ranked a lot higher than you seeded. Clearly, given my own picks, any list that can mix Tupac, Common, Biggie and Outkast with Led Zep, the Who, Oasis and Pink Floyd is highly regarded in my mind. But, as I said during the draft, I was releived that LL was drafting behind me. That's a pretty complete list, top to bottom, with a similarly solid mix of rock and hip hop to suit my tastes. Regulate in the last round is simply the icing on the cake. Well done to both.

Thanks bro. I think we share an appreciation for Angus Young if I remember correctly? Only fitting his brother's band got revenge on me in the last draft :)

This one is very tough - and I have unfortunately repeated my mistake from Rock Band II = don't choose songs or performers that some people HATE. I think David Gilmour and Bono might have cost me some hate votes in RBII, and in this ipod contest it seems if Kid Rock doesn't kill me, RUSH will lol. Polarizing guys... I should have known better.

When is this first round over anyway - I'm nervous and have not heard a fat lady sing.

The polls will close 72 hours after posting...or as close to that as I can get. I forgot to set the timer. I'll set them now for 48 more hours.

I like the Rush pick, but the Kid Rock pick nearly chased me off. Your list is strong, though, so it's not too difficult to get over. I'm sure everyone has picks on their lists that other people can't stand.

I think that's part of the fun of this kind of draft. Can you pick a selection of songs so universally appealling that, even with a couple that certain segments of the voters will hate, it will still garner the majority of votes? If, of course, voting is important. I know at least two participants who don't really care about the voting so much as the process and fun of learning about other members of the board. (I'm one of them... ) :)

Two hours reamain and barring a miracle, I am finished. It was fun. I lost to a great music drafter, so no worries. Good luck Francisco!
