Omri Casspi Video - Just for KingsFans

Yup, their Hapoel, we hate them.
their the kind of the pplz who are Anti israel (and their israelis..)
ops wrong one, the one u was talking about arnt our rivals but we still hate them :)
Ha, that's funny. Which one is against Hapoel? Sounds like the games mean a lot more over there than even over here. That kind of running up the score would be talked about by sports journalists and bloggers for weeks if it happened. But, the rivalries don't compare to what you are describing.

FromIsrael -- try to stick to the facts ("Anti Israel" is very subjective).

Basically, there are two historical sports "wings" in Israel - the "Maccabi" organization, and the "Hapoel" organization.

The Maccabi side is usually identified with the right political wing, and the Hapoel side with the left political wing. It's mostly a historical thing, but still nowadays Hapoel are the "communists" in Maccabi's eyes, and Maccabi are the "capitalists" in Hapoel's eyes (something like having republican teams and democratic teams, roughly speaking).

Anyway, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Jerusalem are like the Bird's Celtics and the Magic's Lakers, only there's real pure hatred between the two teams. It's a very emotional thing :D

I agree with you that the rivalry between these teams is huge and goes waaay beyond sports.

And I'll tell you a little secret, I share your opinion about Hapoel (and have also been sitting in Yad Eliyahu for the past 15 years) but for the sake of the explanation, I was trying to be objective. ;)

Well then, we'll just need to convince Casspi that Hapoel = Lakers. Hopefully he can bring the same fire in every game against our SoCal rivals. :D

Note: We've got fans from all over the world of all relgions and creeds and political affiliaations. We don't talk politics or religion as it really isn't what the board is all about and it leads to way too much off-topic controversy, heated arguments and a lot of comments we really don't need.

Local rivalries can be, we know, incredibly intense in some places, but we have to ask that you not bring them here. Thanks to one and all for understanding. Let's get back to talking about the Kings.

No problem, point taken.
Was just trying to answer the question of why there was that full court pass with 4 seconds left.

Thanks for understanding. I just took the opportunity to make a point before it really had to be made, if that makes sense.

:D

haha anywayz as a local rival isnt it suits them ?
Yes I like the graphic, our geographic rival and yours. The fun thing too is not only did the Kings get a lot of new fans by drafting Casspi, but you can bet you'll have gained some new fans for your national team in the Sept. tournament.

Yeah, I'll be pulling for the newest King until you guys come up against the US in a tourney. I actually have really wanted Casspi for awhile. Ever since we hired Levin as our Assistant GM, I predicted that he would wind up on our team. HE seems like a good, scrappy player who doesn't need the ball in his hands to be effective.

Also, I like that new logo, the colors and everything actually go together better than the first one.

I gotta agree with most of your post. I wasn't aware of Casspi until a short while ago but I'm sure liking what I've been able to find out.

And about the second logo? I like it a lot, too. Of course, to me the first one is like one of those pictures where you're supposed to be able to see two different things. I must have some kind of vision impairment because I can only see the part that says "HAPEOL TEL AVIV"... There isn't anything else there, is there?

;)

The official word from the Kings was that Evans has 13, Casspi has 18 and Brockman has 40. I didn't see anything about Sergio.

I'll see what I can find out.
