Next time someone interviews Bobby Jackson, they REALLY should ask him why EVERYTIME he shoots a 3, he does a fade away. Why does he always do that?!
They actually have asked him that before, but I don't remember his response. I think it's kind of like asking Kevin Martin why he takes the ball to his hip before bringing it up to shoot it...It's just something Jackson has always done.

Who Says they cant win. They won with 8 players dressed(KT Dont Count) Hustle and energy is all you need tow in ball games watch Martin will have a red bull come out in the 3rd and put 20 up
Who says they can't win? You forgot the ;) emoticon.

You cannot seriously be comparing the Memphis Grizzlies to the Dallas Mavericks, right? Hustle and energy is NOT all they need.

I'm starting not to like solomon selfish play
OMG. Some of you seriously crack me up.

The guy has barely put on a uniform, is merely trying to get a bit of time with his new team and you're dogging him and labeling him selfish?

Totally ridiculous...

That's wierd, because I don't remember him doing that when he was with the "old" Kings. Or maybe I just didn't notice because he always made it :p

One air ball and you've defined his skill set?
Well, of course, Doc. What's wrong with you? Why actually wait until a player has a chance to practice or - god forbid - learn the name of his teammates before you decide he's garbage? You getting slow in your old age or what?

He made a lot more of them back then - or passed them up and drove inside. He's always favored the fadeaway, though.

done game...
I'm sure mavs desperately needed a rest like this. J-Kidd along with our magnificent defense makes Singleton look like an all star! what else is new...

While Dallas certainly sucks - they are way batter than Grizzlies

So you wanted the Kings to win? Why?

I'm pretty sure this game isn't going to do much for the Mavericks' ego, considering they're beating up on a cellar-dweller who traded away half their team two days ago.

Some of you are really going to have a rough time of it the rest of this season and possibly next season. We're not going to get good overnight and we're not gonna win a lot of games. If you just want to watch a winning team, pick one from the Celtics, or the Cavs, or even the dreaded team from LA.

Our team has been in total disarray. There are positives to be garnered from watching tonight's game but you have to be willing to look for them.

I think that win last night got everyone's hopes up. Let's be real, we did NOT beat the Grizzles last night...they beat themselves. We gave them many chances to get back in the game and they couldn't hit ANYTHING! Dallas, on the other hand, doesn't make mistakes like Memphis does...

I understand everybody's point of view of losing to get that #1 draft spot, but I don't understand welcoming embarrassment. I would at least like to see them stay competitive.
Who's embarrassed? We're trying, we're just not good. And there's no shame in it at all. If the Mavericks celebrate a blow out like this, THEY are the ones who should be embarrassed.

I don't see anything embarrassing right now. We are down by 20 but we are trying.

Agreed, but after watching the Kings so far this season, I figure it's best to expect a blowout loss every game so that if it's anything else, it will be like a birthday surprise!

I was responding to the response by theclash, which was in regard to tonight maybe looking like the Phx and Clipper game of 140 - 100. I just got the impression that when theclash said fine by me, it was kind of a "I dont care how much we lose by, as long as we don't give up our #1 draft pick." I understand the team is trying, that's all we can ask for. I'd just rather have the game closer, or at least appear more competitive, than accept a blow out.

This team can win this game Dallas is a good team but they are beatable Martin has been off all night you think Martin isnt gonna start scoring soon... Am i saying wooo hoooo playoff run no im just saying we can beat anyone if we hustlerebound and defend.

I don't really care if we lose every game for the rest of this season as long as Martin scores 25+, JT has a good game (15 and 7 type numbers), and Donte Greene gets some minutes.

Fair enough.

I guess for me I don't see the score as being important in any way tonight.

It's about watching how the players gel, how they work WITH each other and how well they do the things we've been wanting them to do... trust each other, pass the ball, hustle, play like you want to be out there, etc.

I think I'm seeing quite a bit of that, and it's enough to make this Kings' fans smile. The rest will come in time.

:)
