I cannot imagine how someone could possibly be humilated over what we're seeing from our Kings tonight. I'm proud of them... mistakes? Sure, but you cannot fault their heart, their effort or their determination. These guys are only going to get better. If that's humiliating, I'll take that every single day of the week.

And NewArena? Kenny Thomas was benched for a good part of last year because he didn't show effort, or hustle or anything else. If Reggie Theus is giving him minutes, it's because Kenny has damned well earned them in practice. How could you possibly fault that?

No one is perfect. The effort and lack of ego Kenny is showing this season is commendable whether you want to acknowledge it or not.

Oh please, kenny isnt supposed to have ego anyway. You keep talking about effort but thats not all it is about. I appreciate the fact that he doesnt complain and he seems like a "good guy" but who cares if you dont play well on the court?

Lets just agree to disagree. Back to the game we go...

It is all about effort, according to Reggie Theus. But you must have missed that part...

Sure, we'll agree to disagree.

Sorry to be contrary again, but what games were you watching or perhaps more importantly NOT watching?
Well i probably got carried away there but they are definitely on the same level. Alot of fans really got on ron a little too much when it came to that. He got so much better on that issue last season. Salmons dribbles a ton and kevin martin has barely touched it here in the fourth quarter-which is partly kevins fault-but Salmons on this team just isnt going to work. We need to move him come Febuary.

What a bunch of negative nellies around here. Did you think the Kings were going to be good this year? If so, I'm sorry, but you're not very smart.

I know this will probably come as a surprise/shock, but I pretty much agree with your revised statement.

They're passionate about the team and want to see wins. I can understand the concept although I prefer to celebrate the hustle, the effort and the potential...

It's all good.

Great Job Kings!

Regardless of how i was talking during the game - i am very proud of the way our team played. I just want Theus to improve the sub patterns and for Salmons to tone down the dribbling.

Other then that we played very well and if we continue this kind of play, we will win alot more often.

well at least it was closer than yesterday... and Martin kind of rebounded a little bit after 2 horrendous games...
But our "defense", pardon the language, is virtually non-existent! We are like last year's Denver... heck we maybe even worse...:(:(:(:(

Much better game than last night, of course. Kevin bounced back with a vengeance and Beno at least looked like an NBA player out there. Learning experience for Hawes and Thompson, who both got into severe foul trouble early against Howard, but I'm telling you, once they get more experience, our defense will look very good.

Encouraging on the offensive end for sure. Just foul trouble for the bigs killed any defense we could have played.

I agree with most of your post, although it is hard to stomach losing by 17 and 26 points these last 2 games.

Geez, VF, relax a little, would ya?

We go through a 1-7 preseason, and not a peep outta me. We're probably going to have a 1-7 start on the regular season too, and I don't mind, because we're rebuilding. One sardonic comment about AJ, yes, but it's only because we're going to need to have our senses of humor handy this year.

Just because we are passionate about the Kings, your saying we aren't very smart. Wow.
I'm saying that some people seem to have an unrealistic expectations about what this team is capable of. If you want to get pissed off about losing, fine, that's your right, but my goodness, it's going to be a long season.

:) Thanks, i know we will disagree at times but i just dont want to be known as the negative guy on here. I just get really frustrated because im not used to the whole rebuilding thing. Man...how did some of you survive during the early kings years?

I understand the Kings are in the rebuilding and I know the Kings are going to lose, but that doesn't mean I can't be passionate about it. And let me correct you, the "ONLY" time I was pissed was when John Salmons was dribbling too much.
