I hate Dish Network

They still don't have NBA League Pass available because they are "negotiating" with the NBA.

First, no NFL package, and now apparently no NBA League Pass. I guess it's time to switch back to Direct TV.

I have Dish and I League Pass.

I'm not sure why you think they don't have it. Channels 560-572.....

You can't order it right now because they are still in negotiations with the NBA. I've been to that page on the Dish Network site before and you can't order it from there. If you call them and tell them you want to order it, they will tell you it's not available at this time.

As far as Direct TV goes...I had so many problems with the service it just became way too irritating. It was like a weekly thing for me to be on the phone with their tech support for an hour. It just got old so I switched. I'm not really sure why it didn't work well in my house, but Dish has worked fine.

Your problem with DirecTV didnt happen to be with bright colors like red, orange, and yellow being flashy (like a vibration around the people when they move) on your TVs did it? I was on the phone with DirecTV for about a month and a half every other day and they came out and replaced part of the dish, receivers (sent same model), and tried different ways of connecting. Finally, I saw that my parents had a different model receiver (D11 model) and I asked if they could send those. Sure enough it fixed the problem. Now I enjoy DirecTV

As long as I can watch the Kings, I am all good, and I like Dish. I don't have time to watch other teams anyways. ;)

I orderd it in the pre-season .. Im pretty sure I have it ( I have dish network ) I havent checked though and I cant right now .. you are making me nervous though haha..
Sadly, you won't be able to watch the NBA League Pass games until the issue is resolved between the NBA and Dish :(. It doesn't matter that you ordered it in the pre-season, you won't see any games today unless they come to an agreement in the next few hours.

I'm starting to see now that Dish is treated like the red-headed stepchild by the major sports leagues. I think that DirectTV has way more money to throw at the NFL and NBA and they are doing so to gain a competitive advantage on their competition.

No, I didn't have that problem. My problem was the "Searching for satellite" message repeadedly. I would reset the box over and over and it would never find the signal. I'd have to call in and talk to some dude in India for an hour to get it to work. I haven't had this problem at all with Dish. In fact, I've been very happy with the quality of Dish so the title to my thread is probably a little extreme. I just wish they would get their **** together so I can watch NFL and NBA games.

We live in a world of mass media, it shouldn't be that hard to watch any NBA game I want especially if I'm willing to pay for it!

Hey buddy...I feel bad for you. I don't blame you for being pissed off. Here is a link where you can view the games online:

I think it's free for the first 2 weeks as well.

Am I missing something? I have Dish. I called yesterday about LP. They said it’s not available for purchase yet but there’s a free preview now. I watched a game on channel 562 last night and the schedule shows a bunch of games tonight (including our Kings). I’m not home now, but did the free preview get cancelled?

Direct TV has had the NFL package since the begining. It comes up again in 2010 I think. It's pretty much assumed they will be getting it again then. The networks only want a limited number of NFL games available to everyone.

As for customer service, it varies from person to person and company to company.

I didn't even know about a free preview. That would be great if we have that until we can purchase it. Even better, it would be awesome if it was just a free preview all year long!

I'll have to check it out tonight and see if the games are being aired. Did you have to sign up for the free preview or is it available for everybody?

They said it was a free preview for all customers.

I know how you feel there! Even some cable companies give the option of the NBA League Pass. I was surprised about that when I went a buddy's place and saw that (he lives in a different city)

Lotta people seem to have Dish. I guess their prices must be better. For sports though, gotta go DirecTV :)

I believe DirecTV has an exclusive deal with the NFL for Sunday Ticket. Not so for NBA League Pass...

Funny thing... while watching the game on Dish Networks free preview of NBA LP, there were multiple commercials from the NBA advertising LP. The price was $169 and to contact your service provider to order. And one them was Dish Network.
