ORLANDO -- Not 732 or 733 or 734 days.

No, Phoenix Suns center Shaquille O'Neal knows his life will change in exactly 735 days.
"My basketball career will be over in 735 days," O'Neal told News 13 television in Orlando, Fla. "And being an educated man, I've always had things to fall back on. So one of my options is law enforcement."

O'Neal, who was drafted by the Orlando Magic but has since played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns, still has a house in Central Florida. He spoke of his possible future plans Wednesday with the kids at the Pine Hills Boys and Girls Club.
O'Neal has long had an interest in law enforcement and went through the training with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Reserve Academy before becoming a reserve officer with the L.A. Port Police.
A 7-foot future Hall of Famer, O'Neal said he intends to play out the remainder of his contract and retire. He has won four titles in his career -- three with the Lakers and one with the Heat.

I hope the SOB's career takes a super dramatic drop off causing the suns to miss the playoffs ofr the next 2 years. He doesn't deserve to retire as a good player or even on a good team for that matter. He's the perfect example of bad guys finishing first. I hate him. He has no class.

It's already taken a dramatic drop off. He should just stop now, he's only going to embarrass himself these next 2 years...which will be fun to watch.

And before anyone says anything...I have never liked Shaq...ever. Glad that he helped the Lakers win, but never, ever liked him as a person.

I dunno, I always liked him...I hated the Lakers and the Kobe-Shaq teamup but other than that I thought he was a cool guy...but that's just me.

Meh...Saw this one coming. Dude shoulda retired seasons ago. In two years he's going to be a bencher he's been dropping off so fast.

Never really liked Shaq. His **** talking went a little above and beyond sometimes. And he complains more then any player in the league when a call doesnt go his way.

At least he'll be able to get back to his rap and movie careers when he's not putting all his time into playing in the NBA.

As the years go by, Laker fans will start to realize that it was surprising that we won 3 titles lead by 2 lunkheads, one too social, the other socially retarded.

i got no beef with shaq.... sometimes he's funny, sometimes he's not.... he'll be lucky to average 15/8, which is a breakout season for brad miller... i hope he wins another ring before he calls it quits just to pee people off....

Wow, so much hate toward the guy. I'm not sure what you meant by a bad guy but I don't think he is that bad of a person. He's just a goofy guy trying (sometime too much) to be a comedian, a rapper and a police officer at the same time. ;)
