With a solid performance, Kings snapped the 3 game losing streak beating Portland on the road which is not something that many teams can brag about. Kings improve to 24-28 and finish the first part of the long road schedule 1-3 as we are getting ready to face Hawks in back to back game for both teams before going on a road for 5 straight games in 9 nights. The overall positioning didn't change but the perspective did in hope that moRon will be dumped in the next 36hrs which will clean the Kings up nicely (dead weight excluded) and it will be a nice step to the future.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Only a few days after the trade Mike Bibby is supposed to make his first appearance @ ARCO but he might be injured so it is questionable. It will happen sooner or later but it would be great if it happens tonight so that we can get over it. Mike will get his ovations which are well deserved. He will look awkward in Hawks uniform but not nearly as awkward as Lue would in a Kings uniform wearing #10. Life goes on and we will be fine and so will Mike either in Atlanta or somewhere else. As for all the other former Kings - we wish him a great game and a loss.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
36 hrs to the trade deadline and a chance for GP to make a decent job a great one by dumping moRon and doing us a huge favor saving us from the championship that he will win us this season. Maybe the NBA will install NIPO tournament in which we would be one of the favorites. Honestly, at this point if I was GP - I would not really insist on Kleiza and I would settle for a pick and expiring which is still better than nothing. We don't need moROn anymore. We just have no use since the flexing muscles doesn't reflect in wins and losses and if one of the drunk fans gets upset enough to throw or say something that wouldn't please moRon - the bomb might stop ticking and god help us then. Now, GP could make this trade season phenomenal but we all know that won't happen because some flexible pieces are jut too flexible to be traded.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Other than his obnoxious behavior - moRon needs to go because Salmons needs to start. John has played like a garbage as of late and he was phenomenal when he was starting. We need him go go back to playing that way. He isn't equal talent wise but he is good enough for what we need right now and there is perspective. Ron is here for the next 30 games and that is it
unless we are retarded enough to give him extension. Since we are not going anywhere and he has to play - he is just wasting the minutes, the shots that others need to develop.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
How cool is it to have Cisco back. He was great last night and he looked like Cisco who played before Bibby & moRon came back from injury. He had ZERO turnovers in 21 minutes last night. Yes, ladies and gentleman - he played a game without making a single dumb decision. I am shocked too. Not as shocked as if we would have traded KT but close. And it might never happen again and next game he might have 6 turnovers to make it up for last night but it doesn't matter. When he was hurt we missed him and now he is back and our bench is more solid.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
What do You know - upon provided opportunity Hawes does look like a talented rookie. The "Landlord" has shown some potential too in very limited minutes and that is encouraging compared to Mikki's minutes and production and potential. Why did we sign Mikki again? Are we really paying him ? In 52 games - only 18 times Mikki scored in double figures and only 3 times it was 20+. Only 6 times he has had double digits rebounding games which is one less than the times that he fouled out of the game. It is obvious that Mikki is new KT in his prime and the problem is that we still have KT who might still be in his prime for all we know because - it makes no difference
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A solid road win is a good start to the 2nd half of the season. It was a combination between us playing well and Blazers coach being too retarded. He did us big favors keeping Joel on the bench for too long and leaving Jack in the game for no reason at all. In a close finish - a veteran mediocre team has beaten the young mediocre team. Roy was ineffective due to moRon's presence and the face that he wasn't able to make a mental switch from the ASB. Kings played a very clean game having 23 assists to only 11 turnovers and also everyone helped on the glass.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
AWARD TIME
Outlaw won the TDM closely followed by Webster and it only happend because Joel played so little.
Roy gets the LW-VC and it was well deserved
RA&1 goes to Jack and I still don't understand how he gets to start in the NBA ?
Salmons gets another JHA award por giving us nothing
WTF moment of the game - the last minute with retarded fouls and timeouts.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hawks are next and they suck bad and not even Bibby will be able to help much. They played last night and were down 73-37 at the half. That is the real danger for us because they just can't play any worse and they will try much harder since in the Least - everyone is a PO contender. It will be emotional game if Bibby plays. We have to play together and have a quick start - which could lead to a blow out. They have lost 5 straight game and one more or less won't bother them. They have bunch of young talented players who don't know how to play yet.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Beno - they have a PG who doesn't defend - just go at him.
MoRon - be gone
Kevin - thegame has 2 halves
Brad - how about 20/20 again ?
Mikki - why us ?

Cisco - awesomw
Salmons - come one man !
Hawes - nice
Landlord - more minutes
QD - don't forget this kid please !

rest - mateen unworthy

Coach T - we already know that A.J. is useless - no need to test that
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hawks are 21-29 and 6-18 on the road which is good enough to be in the PO race in the Leastern conference. They are young, athletic, talented but have no clue how to play this game. J. Johnson is dangerous but we match up well with him. We will have problems with Horford. Childress will win the TDM. Smith will get the LW-VC award. Kings will win if they play like they did last night

This should be a gimme game with Bibbly likely out and comming off of a public flogging in the Pimples Center last night, but the team still has to play. Im not sure where all the anti-Ron rants are comming from, The guy plays his arse off out there and we KNEW he was a nutter when we got him I just can't get too worked up about his T's or his off court mumbelings right now. sure if GP can move him for equal value I'd say yes, but we all know that can't be done so we might as well just live with him untill or unless he disrups chemestry or prevents young tallent from developing.

Also Webster wins TDM. Outlaw is a good player. Good, solid NBA players shouldn't be eligible to win. Anybody averaging over 10 points shouldn't be able to win. Cmon piksi.

he is eligible - why not
He is one of the most underrated NBA players in terms of skill and impact, and just because he doesn't start doesn't mean he doesn't deserve it. He isn't all star status, but he isn't eligible for it just as Lamar Odom isn't eligible for it.

Watch the Blazers occasionally and you'd get a clue as to why not.
we had the same rule for Barbosa and many others.
He averages 13 pts per game. He scored 6 pts in the first meeting. He has not shown any consistency. He had an above average night almost doubling the average numbers. He fits the cliche perfectly.

SACRAMENTO - Despite being listed as “questionable” for tonight’s game against his former team, Hawks point guard Mike Bibby said he will play tonight when the Hawks and Kings tip it up at Arco Arena.

Oh, okay. No biggie. He gets to sit next to Grant and Jerry and add the occasional comment. He's not replacing anyone.

I hope not. TONIGHT is not the night to take the court with the #10 uniform of the Sacramento Kings...with the name LUE on the back.
