yay for 1000 posts

On this three game winning streak, the Kings have only faced one quality opponent. Now I think I am correct in saying the streak has more to do with the Kings quality play rather than the various amounts of ineptitude from the opponents. It has been a mixture, for sure, but the Kings defense has been as good as I've ever seen it.

Well the Nets are terrible. They have a very poor man's version of the big three, and yet they still have a good chance of making the playoffs. The most energetic player might be Sean Williams, a rookie who looks like Stromile Swift in his first year, and thats just really sad.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ron Ron finally looked like he belonged in the offense. Maybe all it took was a few games, but this team really clicked last night. I'm glad of this because it takes away the pains of watching him struggle with the team concept.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
I really wish we had a better starting PF than Mikki Moore. 3 rbs? come on man...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Cisco is the only bench player whose production seems unaffected by Ron. Only his minutes are."

That was from last game thread.
Evidence of me being right surfaced against the Nets.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Kings are 4 LOSSES out of the playoff picture currently. Meaning if Golden State and Utah both hit a 4 game losing streak, and the Rockets hit a 3 game losing streak while the Kings kept winning, all 4 of those teams would be tied for the 8th spot. It's sad that the Kings didn't have this current team for more of the season, at least 4 or 5 more games because I could guarantee that we would be .500. I still think we will finish at 42-42, and if that is good enough for the playoffs depends on the teams ahead of us.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
So just to put this up for a strange debate... Which team has a better future? Miami or New York?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alright NBA, grow some and put Utah, Houston, and the Kings in the Eastern Conference playoffs. All of those teams deserve a spot more than Indiana or New Jersey.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
AWARD TIME

TDM goes to me for shooting a better free throw percentage against the Kings than Josh Boone. I'm 0 for 0, and as far as I am concerned, 100%

LW-VC went to the whole Nets team, even Vince Carter who managed to scrap some decent numbers up regardless of a wholly unmotivated and junk performance.

WTF moment of the game goes to Sean Williams actually playing hard. Talk about self-centered.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Clippers are next, and the funny thing about them is that Donald Sterling said that if things dont turn around, he will make some changes. You know, like the changes they have made over the last 20 years of suckage. Jeez.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Kevin - finally a less than decent shooting night.
Mike - there we go. love to see the assists
Ron - keep that up
Brad - steady
Mikki - errr
Salmons - get well soon
Cisco - great fantasy contributor
Beno - steady
rest - mateen

coach T - keep em together
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Clippers suck right now, but its more of injuries than anything else. The Kings should start a new streak of dominance against this less-than-stellar franchise.

Dunleavy doesn't hold back responding to Sterling's comments
ESPN.com news services

Los Angeles Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy incredulous at his team owner's griping, struck back on Tuesday. Donald Sterling, in comments made to the Los Angeles Times, had expressed disappointment in his team's fortunes and made what sounded vaguely like an ultimatum, saying, "I want to make L.A. fans proud of this team, but if [Elgin Baylor and Mike Dunleavy] can't make it happen, then I have no choice but to make changes." To which Dunleavy retorted: "It would be the biggest mistake you ever made. It's his team and he can do whatever he likes ... but look, you can find any coach you want, bring him in here and run the situation. But I don't think they are going to do as good a job as I do. And that's period."

Whoa. I guess I must just be horribly out of the loop. Sterling, whom I've always thought was a tool anyway, makes a coherent statement about HIS team and Dunleavy replies with the "It would be the biggest mistake" comment? Has Dunleavy not been paying attention? Sterling has a long string of big mistakes he's made with the Clippers. Finding them another coach would be a long way from the top of the list IMHO.

rofl I never thought of it that way. Still though Sterling can't exactly expect them to win with Livingston and Brand basically out for the season. That would've been 2/3 of their best 3 players.

I might go so far as to say 2 out of their best 2. I can't help but wonder how much of Caveman's breakout year has been due to the fact that the Clips have nobody else to go to.

I certainly hope they quit with the quick long ball shooting.

I'm just a little concerned about how passive Martin seems to look on offense. He's covering his man on defense but is clearly not being assertive at the other end of the court.

jeez I get all giddy when I realize that if our starting guys aren't doing it, we have a more than capable bench ready to back them up. good feeling.

Kevin Martin didn't come to play tonight. He's playin around rather than playing. Theus needs to tell him that he should have come back from that injury sooner and that he's having him come off the bench for the rest of the season...

Martin just loves to rest on his laurels.
