Nice win by the M's. Glad to see Ticha make Detroit pay for sagging off on her all game. :D

I think JB made good use of her bench with her substitution patterns today in order to keep fresh legs on the floor all the time.

In hindsight, I'm glad we got this win even though we lost last night. I'd take this one over the shock over a win against the sparks anytime. Great show of character by the M's esp after last night. :D

Now that was the killer instinct we wanted! Good game all the way around. Best part: Ticha Penicheiro made Detroit eat their lack of respect for her!!!

Yo Griffith--welcome home. That was the Yo of old. Our team captains led the way, and everyone contributed. Good job Tangy, and much more confident Kristen Haynie. Sho-Time, awesome!

Some of the WORST officiating I have ever seen--on both sides. Clearly offensive fouls called as blocks. And can we EVER get an official in the WNBA to call Katie Smith on her seemingly constant use of a foream push? And to think I use to like her when she played for Minnesota. Guess Bill poisons everyone.

I think the Coach brought the right players in at the right time, especially when we were bleeding away our lead.

It is my firm belief that Ticha Penicheiro won that game for us. When she came in about 1/2 way into the 4th quarter she seemed to play as if she were thinking, "there is no way we are going to squander another one." She took control of the game in her passing and in her driving into the lane and in her stopping and taking shots when the Shock continued to lay off of her.

Brunson had a monster block that was fun to watch, and the block by Kara, late in the game, was monumental. I love the way Kara reacts to big time plays. She plays with such emotion and intensity.

Yo looked much better out there. She was all over the place. And, I cannot say enough about Nicole. She has stepped up her game big time.

Also, there is no doubt that this game against Detroit was Sho-time. I loved watching her last year and she has improved tremendously this year.

This was another team effort. I LOVE MY MONARCHS!!

Agree with all posters views...That was just a fun game to watch. Very physical, with all the fouls shots, we got a good portion of our points from free throws. So props to the team for a solid effort at the line.

Of course according to coach Laimbeer thats one of the reason they lost the game...boo-hoo:( Those officials helping the Monarchs win.

I'm with 6th...those blocks were off the chart & the emotion & swagger carried them to a important home win. kara stood there & posed for the Kings players & the fans , then that big smile. A very cool moment.

Major shout out to coach Boucek for her motivating reminder to Ticha...hey this team is disrespecting you in your house...TP responded big time...excellent performance by TP , the entire squad & coaching staff.

To our fans & fans of the ever so classy Robin Roberts...over 11,000 in the house. Come back Tuesday night for the NY Liberty 7pm.
#1 Monarchs!

Last night helps me forget a little about what happened on Friday night. I was impressed with the intensity considering both teams played down south the night before.

Yo played one of her best games of the season.

Rebecca was a beast on the boards, and her energy was welcomed.

BILL LAIMBEER WAS HIS USUAL SELF....AN ***.

Deanna Nolan is by far the fastest, quickest player in the league. And I thought that the reaqusition of Chelsea was going to contain her.......NOT EVEN CLOSE. Nolan at times seemed to be on a level by herself. Very impressive!!!!

What can I say about Ticha. She saved the game, and took advantage of her opportunities in the fourth quarter.

It was a total team effort.

I went to the game and had a great time, altho our shooting sucked big time in the first half. Still too many TO's.

Having said that, the second half was great. The team played MUCH better, altho, again, they let a good size lead vanish.

I hate Laimbeer. But I know he specifically cultivates that attitude from opposing fans. He wants us to boo him and his team. He uses that as emotion in a "it's us against the world" way. It motivates him and his players, so I try not to respond. What bugs me, is I have seen referees respond to his constant berating.

I loved the blocks by Brunson and Kara. Kara's, near the end, absolutely brought the house down. :D

I am glad about the Win. Especially against the Shock. Not Much to add...

I am annoyed that we let not one lead but 2 leads go up in thin air.

Detroit couldn't seem to knock down many shots at all for a while there. ANd we still couldn't quite get that door shut. But I was very pleased with the Bench MOB. They played well. Gave solid minutes.

But Ohh how I love revisionist history....

Great Win and necessary... Got to get Bekkah to the All-Star game...
