[GSW/DAL] "We're going to go like hell."

Wuster tips the hat to GSW! How sweet it is for them! And I agree with SacTownKid - a WCF appearance is certainly not out of the question.

Dirk...League MVP (probably), finished with 8 points in an elimination game.

Warriors should celebrate like hell, they've earned it.

Edit: Dirk was sadly outplayed by...Matt Barnes (who was 3 assists shy of the triple-double)! Go Barnes!

I gotta give credit to Avery Johnson for even coming out and talking to the press at all...

Or maybe the bus left without him?

Once again, excellent stuff for the Warriors franchise and their fans. Quite happy for them.

What an ironic, hilarious, fun, and wild series it was. Obviously significant in NBA history, also.

Baron Davis - truly was a warrior tonight, another stand-out, great game, and on an iffy leg. Guy is awesome when healthy, just hope he can stay healthy with consistency.

S-Jack, Barnes, J-Rich were impressive in support.

Warriors/Jazz or Rockets will be interesting

Just absolutely embarassing and atrocious for the Dallas Mavericks... from all the talk in the summer and during the season, 67 wins domination, Dirk being slowed down in 2 straight series (Finals), and basically taken out of this one. Right into this off-season...

Ouch.

I'm glad and careless I was wrong about GS. I still don't like them, but you have to respect and enjoy what they've done since early March. As a Spur fan also, I adore it.

It is very hard not to root for the Warriors

Very easy to root against the Mavs
I gotta disagree on that one.

It's easy to root against the Mavs (even though I didn't), but it's REMARKABLY easy not to root for the Warriors. I don't like underdogs, unless MY team is the underdog. I've never lived in California... And furthermore, Golden State is chock full of players that I just can't stand: aside from Davis and Barnes, I don't like anybody on that team; why should I root for the Warriors?

Avery was very gracious in defeat; if I were him, I would have straight thrown Nowitzki under the bus... Man, if he gets the MVP, he'd better give that **** back...

How good is to see something like our Bay Area GSW light up the NBA world w/ the kind of athleticism, heart and just plain ole heroic basketball w/ the likes of the Baron, the likes of Stephen Jackson carrying the team on his back, JRich doing his thing and Nellie finally getting control of this final game to close it out.

What a great story and what a great occasion for we Californians to find a second option and to feel our passion come alive for another North California team that is rewriting history and capturing the imagination of many.

I'm jazzed about the playoffs like the rest of you.

And i am very very pleased to see the Warriors reap their due reward...

How can you not love this outfit from Nellie on down to Beidrins....

Whoa...

I rooted for the Mavericks to lose but I'm not a Warriors fan. Not now, not ever. I only have passion for one team in the NBA.

;)

Mavericks should be ashamed of themselves.
They made no adjustments whatsoever to stop or even slow down the very one-dimensional Warriors team... This basically means that Suns - Spurs series will decide the new NBA champion.

That's cool w/ me...
But i am one of many that i have been speaking to that are totally behind this organization and for all the right reasons...

Nelson had their number. He knew exactly how to take Nowitzki out of the game. Any other team, with any other coach and the Mavs would most likely have won.

This isn't as big an upset as it seems.

I'm thrilled for GSW, but a little disappointed for the rest of the PO with the Mavs out. After Spurs vs Suns there doesn't seem like much is left to watch.

The new WC Champion, for sure.

I've felt since the playoffs began that the only team in the playoffs that could beat the Spurs were the Mavericks... I hope that I'm wrong, because I want to see Webber get that ring, but I certainly don't think anybody in the west has a chance against them.

What's this "we Californians" stuff? LA is in California and I would never root for them. Why would I root for a team that isn't my team? I wasn't rooting for the Warriors in this series. I was rooting against the Mavs, who I currently dislike much more than the Warriors, a team I have never liked. What are all these"right reasons" to root for the Warriors? Right for who?

With my team out of the running, I don't give a rip who wins the championship. The only team I have even a mild interest in "rooting for" to win it all is the Pistons and only because I'd be happy for Webber. Which is just rooting for a once and always King in my book.

Thats funny because Nelson is more likeable and has earned more respect in the NBA than Cuban could ever buy.
I think Cuban does more good than he gets credit for but his comments (if this is actually what he said) are completely classless.

Happy to see GS move on, I'm not even going to pretend to be a fan but I'm glad one NorCal team is still alive.

I'm always a Kings fan first, but over the years here, I've had to find another team to root for in the playoffs now and then.

Also, before the Kings were here, the Warriors were all we had. I'm happy for them even though some of their fans are complete a-holes.

I'm strictly Northern Cal though. Never a SoCal team. Booo....
