Red Star Belgrade won today against Unics(Russia) 87-84.Antonio Burks played for Red Star and contributed with 10 pts and 7 ast.I suppose you know him cuz' he was playin' for Memphis and then Miami. He is really good pg,I am supprised he didn't get chance in the NBA.
On the other side for Unics played Mateen Cleaves,ex Kings PG.He done nothing for his team, even though he got 15 mins.

I haven't seen Mateen in their first game when he scored 5 pts,but against Red Star he was pretty unconvicing, made some fouls, scored just 2 free throws...I don't know, maybe he needs some time to adjust...Why you think they don't use him properly?

I believe he is jokingly making a reference to the fact that Mateen Cleaves was the best towel waver the Kings ever had...and that seemed to be all they used him for. :D

Four fans, two cops injured in brawl

Associated Press

BELGRADE, Serbia -- Four fans and two police officers were injured during a wild brawl before a basketball game between Red Star Belgrade and PAOK Thessaloniki.
The fighting broke out late Tuesday at the ULEB Cup game after fans of Red Star's local rival, Partizan, showed up to support the visiting Greek team, police spokeswoman Dragana Kajganic said.
About 100 Partizan fans and a few dozen PAOK supporters fought several hundred Red Star fans in the stands and on the court at the Pionir Sports Hall in the Serbian capital. Fans also tossed flares and plastic seats.
"One of the fans sustained serious injuries, including a fractured arm," Kajganic said, adding that several people were detained as suspected instigators of the violence.
She did not say which team's fans were injured.
Two police officers were injured while trying to keep the rival groups apart.
The start of the game was delayed for about 30 minutes. PAOK won 85-81.
