Although the election is not officially over, as you reflect on the past 120 days who or what would you say is mostly responsible for the failure of Measures Q and R.

city, county and the maloofs for rushing to the polls when they never had an agreement in the first place. The Maloofs should never have walked away in a tantrum. They simply could have said that there needs to be more negotiations. They rubbed a lot of people the wrong way with that..

After what I heard from the NBA counsel, I have to vote for the 1st 3 choices equally. Unfortunately, I could not have more than 1 vote, so I will leave my vote off the poll.

It was evident early on that the Bee was actively campaigning against it for whatever reason. I never thought it had a chance. The pro Q&R campaign never even gave it a good college try. If they had, it still would have been slaughtered due to the heavy early negative press.

Me too. I still haven't seen anything in the Bee about what Benjamin said (I erroneously referred to him as Bennett in another thread...mea culpa) What is the Bee's problem? They let Graswich spew garbage and won't even print the NBA representative's comments?

Although I think it was a combination of factors, if I were forced to put the blame in one place, it would be squarely at the feet of the media. the misinformation, misdirection, mudslinging, etc. that the Sacramento Bee - and especially R.E. Graswich - did created such a groundswell of erroneous information that some people still don't understand the true situation.

Shame on them.
