Ticha & Friends at Kings game...

#1
Went to the Kings game tonight...was pleased to see our own Ticha Penicheiro, Isis Tillis, & another person I didnot recognize. They were sitting courtside in the Maloof seats.
Anybody know if Ticha is playing overseas this season? Well we know she's here in SacTown tonight! It was nice seeing them just the same.

Brought some kids up to the high-altitude seats (rows Q & R, lol). Loved seeing Ticha from up there, but didn't/couldn't bring the good camera - so no pic. :(

Looks like she was really enjoying the game!

Thanks for the report. I'm impressed that Iciss Tillis would go all the way to SAC for tonight's game!

Ticha will be playing for the Spartak team in Russia at the end of this month. Her teammates will include fellow WNBA'ers Svetlana Abrosimova, Agniezcka Bibryzcka, and Irina Osipova.

Here's the team site:

Here's where the other Monarchs will be playing:

Thanks Steven...Hi George!
Yeah Ticha has been good friends with Tillis, I've seen them together before.
Going to Russia, just in time for the cold weather.

I'm heading over to Arco, to check out seats, have to decide if I want to relocate...will be very tough to give up courtside!

Who is Isis Tillis?

An economics major from Duke University, Tillis was selected by the Detroit Shock as the 11th overall pick in the 2004 WNBA Draft. She played 31 games for the Shock in her rookie season.

Tillis was traded to the Washington Mystics around the time of the 2005 Draft, in exchange for a draft pick. She was waived by the Mystics during the pre-season. I don't know what she did during the '05 WNBA season after being cut by the Mystics, but she did play in Spain after the '05 season ended.

She signed a free-agent contract with the N.Y. Liberty for the '06 season, and played 25 games for them.

She is the daughter of heavyweight boxer James "Quick" Tillis.

Hope this helps! :)
