Is there any kind of a "Yes On Q+R"-type campaign website yet? I don't think they are that far along, are they?

Okay, since I just got the news at work today, I just have a copy of what the actual site until it is up and going. But, I will give you as much as I can to fill you in. Ok, on the site, you can go to the 'Register' page where you can check a bunch of boxes or none at all except for 'Yes, I support Measures Q & R' the coices look like this:

-YES, I will support Measures Q & R-to share the vision.-
-You may use my name publicly as a supporter of Measures Q & R.

I will help the campaign by:
-Displaying a window/lawn sign
-Volunteer on the campaign
-Hosting a community coffee in my neighborhood/at my business
-I would like to make a financial contribution. Please contact me

(Where the dashes are, those are boxes you can check)

After you finish all of that, you just fill out your name, address, etc., and sign the registration form. You then can either mail or fax in your form to complete this.

Once again, the website for this will be: www.sharethevisionsacramento.com

I'll update this as I find out more info at work, as I'm sure there will be plenty more fun and exciting things to come in the upcoming weeks leading up to election day. Stay tuned!:D

Sure thing...just a guestimate, but since this push has already been sculpted, it shouldnt be much longer than within the next week for when they break this open. I'll see if I cant grab Matt Mahood in the next day or so to get a more concrete date, as I'm sure he has a launch time for this.

Kings Arena Blog, In favor of the New Arena.

I started a blog in favor of the New Arena at

http://welovethekings.com

Can anyone tell me how much is spent on traffic control and security and paid to the Sacramento Sheriffs Dept. Any guess on how many Officers would lose jobs if there was no Arena? I think the Sherrifs made a mistake not supporting Yes on Q and R.

Actually, it's the POLICE department that has come out against the measures. The Sheriffs association has not taken a position.

Just a thought.......a lousy one!

This morning out of the blue, the thought occurred to me that if the arena vote fails and the Kings leave Sacramento, if the ownership chooses to honor Vlade, Chris, or any other of OUR KINGS, it will be to a smattering of polite applause at the _______ Arena in _______. That is JUST NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!!!

If they are smart. (And we know they can be at at times....gold jersey's excepted) they need to use Vlade, Chris, Bobby, Doug, and maybe even JWill to help spread the message. I don't doubt for a second that they'd do it, after all, don't most of them own businesses in Sacramento??

Good point and I do NOT want to have to travel past Sacramento someday see #21 and #4 retired in some strange rafters.

I don't know if they can use active NBA members on other teams to promote the arena issue, but I would certainly explore using Vlade. People like Vlade.

Well, at least some PR started at today's Monarchs game.

Ex-Monarchs Ruthie Bolton and Edna Campbell led a press conference outside Arco at the SE Gate to drum up support for Measures Q & R. There was a well-staffed table outside the SW Gate with information flyers, bumper stickers, and sign-up forms to become an official supporter of the measures.

We need the full-court press to kick in now...

Yeah - I don't put bumper stickers on my vehicles (why don't more people put out those static clings for windows???) but I am going to tape one of the bumper stickers inside my truck window somewhere....

We're mostly in the same boat on bumper stickers. Too hard to get 'em off when done with 'em. I'm going to do the tape thing on a window, too.

I DO have my LSU Alumni and LSU National Football Championship bumper stickers on, though, but they are permanent fixtures. Admittedly, they are the only bumper stickers I have ever affixed to one of my cars in my whole life.
