Darius Miles to the Kings???

You sure are one for positive thinking! I wish I could be the same...
years of kingsfandom has left me a little skeptical.
Yup, I like him for the Kings. I really like the group of guards and wing-players we have in general, and for the style Musselman will coach.

I'd just like to see the front-court defense improved. KT in ways, will fit, just not necessarily next to Brad Miller, same for SAR. Overall it's an above-average front-court, but is average/medicore defensively and in the rebounding area.

Word. I think we can all agree on that. despite the unbalanced roster we are much more athletic and versatile than we've been in the past. Thinking quantitatively and looking at the big picture I do think we are on the right track.

Here's to many years of (successful) Kings ball!

Darius Miles would be a good add if he doesn't do something stupid, which is asking A LOT. Would give us more depth and a player we can actually use in the rotation. He just needs to get his head on straight. Is his defense any good?

Well, he has the tools to be a good man-to-man defender, he's athletic, very long, and tough. Musselman is the right coach to get him to realize that to some degree at least. And obviously Ron would help in that.

I assume he hasn't really put that together yet, and don't really remember much on his man-d from what I've seen. I know he's good off-the-ball with blocks, steals and rebounds though.

Well aside from Miles quite possibly being one of the guys who Skinner was referring to... overall we don't truly know.

I tend to agree there though, xyrin.
Miles and Randolph are widely considered to be who Skinner was talking about, so hard to consider him the victim in Portland in any case.

OMG Petrie can't be this dumb can he? If we're going to bring in an overpaid moron/malcontent can we atleast bring one in that plays a position we need and does things we need?

I don't like Miles as a headcase or as a player. He's been in the league long enough to have at least learned SOME technical skills, but still he relies on driving and scrap. He has no real NBA skills besides pure athleticism. He's a glorified ruben patterson.

This is just utter crap. I know it's the off season but no way in ... WHATEVER is someone like Miles going to be on the Kings. We would have to trade for him? LOL OKAY

We may not KNOW, but I think we can be pretty sure that some players are NOT coming to the Kings. I'd be willing to bet Darius Miles is way up towards the top of that list.

It's been made pretty clear that the Blazers can't even GIVE Miles away (which is basically what a Corliss trade would be) Miles has shown talent, but there's a difference between having problems (Artest) yet having a love for the game and dedication (Artest) and someone like Miles who has talent but also has many problems and is a major cancer, plus has shown no dedication or want to play the game.

As someone who hasn't watched many Portland games of late (and i'm not sure many people do), can someone tell me if Miles still does that moronic hand to the head gesture?

Last time I saw him play I noticed he still does that.

Anyway, this is a moronic trade made up by a Blazer fan to try and get rid of Miles and his contract. Not only do the Kings add 1.2 mill in salary this year(putting them dangerously close to the Lux tax level) they also are on the hook for the next 3 years of Miles' contract. Doubtful this happens.

We can't just assume this anymore. That happened under Adelman and we have no idea if Muss will have that kind of effect on players. Maybe he will, but we have got to stop acting like its a given. That was one of Adelman's real knacks.

Also, I think you need to be careful about how many "former" bad boys you put in one basket (or under the basket:p )

The fans are why the players are happy! Not the coach! :)
