Man, if that's the kind of asking price (JR Smith/PJ Brown), we really REALLY need to get in on that action.

Still don't see how this solves our 'scoring big' hole, though.

I agree this trade does nothing for us unless it is a three way with someone else? We would be giving up potential defense for proven getting old defense. Then a young respectable backup for potential with athleticism, which on most teams would be great, but I agree, would ride the bench for us 'cause Ben does what he can do only better minus the dunks.

Eh, he's a taller guard who can score a little if Thabo doesn't adjust quickly.
I've followed this board for a while, but have just started posting. I am wondering. Has Zach Randolph ever been discussed? I know we are all about high character, but at some point I think we are going to have to take a calculated risk. Why not just flip Chandler to Portland if they were really are starting over?
I'm worried about offensive production from the front court if even we have a great defense. I'd rather have Murphy or Randolph than Brown, who I like quite a bit and gives us flexibility.

Does anyone else think this could be part of a three way trade? Cause if not, I don't really get it. J.R. Smith? He'll be what, our 6th guard? And he doesn't like to play defense or pass. He would be inactive all season. And P.J. Brown is nice in a Antonio Davis kinda way but who's gonna score on our front line? I don't get it. I guess we'll see though.
For us, I think we could get Chandler for Brad and Hart, coming back would be Chandler/Duhon. Bulls seem postive to both given what's been talked about, both from the organization and media and fans. Skiles wanting Hart last summer because of his size and tenacity. Maybe thrown in Potapenko or Corliss.. be that Antonio Davis veteran guy.
Bibby/Duhon/Douby
Wells/Martin/Douby
Artest/Garcia (?)/Wells
Etan Thomas (KT trade)/SAR/Justin Williams
Tyson Chandler/Elson or Voshkul (can rebound, shoot the j, play defense, Elson can block some shots. LLE/part of MLE)/Nicholson? SAR?
Or, if we can't get Duhon from them, just have Douby or someone else (FA) back up Bibby. Who would play less minutes because he actually has a back-up.
