Well, less than hour left before Raptors make their pick.
Everybody expects them to pick Andrea Bargnani.
Portland and Boston apparently arranged a deal that will be officially announced after the draft. Latest update I saw was Telfair+Rattliff for Dickau+LaFrentz+#7 pick.
There are talks between Chicago and Portland. Blazers think Bobcats may pick Ammo at #3 so they want to move up to #2 though Tellem said today that Aldridge has a guarantee by Blazers at #4.
It will be a crazy draft!

I know, its a joke. This guy seems to have come out of nowhere to be the number 1 all the sudden. The fact that the Raptors thought they could trade the pick and pick him up later is another warning sign the guy might not be worthy of #1.

Bargnani isn't going to help them defensively, I'd think. Also is an SF/PF tweener/develop-into type player, like Villanueva, plus you got Joey Graham at SF. But, they can always go out and get a big or two in the summer dealings. Ty Thomas, helps you defensively, fits into the uptempo style like Bargnani, but again, is an SF/PF type player. Gay, an SF, would be a good pick, but that shafts Graham to the bench until his contract is up or traded.

I don't even know, if I were Toronto I'd go with Aldridge.

Philly apparently got #10 for #13 and cash (3 mln.)
P.S. They showed Colangelo speaking with somebody by phone - probably shopping #1.

whats this i hear about portland and chi trading picks? how does that help either team? trade the #2 pick for the 4th.... im lost....

Aries: To ensure getting Aldridge (Bulls), Thomas (Blazers), I'd think. Since Bobcats are gonna take a wing player with May/Okafor/Brezec/Ely (possibly) already on board.

Wow, somewhat strange to see Bulls trading two spots down for Victor "Takea" Khryapa. If the Blazers wanted Aldridge and the Bulls wanted Thomas why didn't they just take them at #2 and #4?

7:44 PM: Andy Katz is reporting that the Bulls and Blazers have struck a deal. Chicago will select LaMarcus Aldridge for Portland, and will then send Aldridge to the Blazers for Tyrus Thomas who the Blazers will select at #4, Vicktor Khyapa, and Future Considerations

Everyone had the Bulls picking Thomas anyway, did they just pull scare tactics on Portland? If Charlotte wants Aldridge couldn't they just take Thomas and force the trade? Doesn't make sense.

Well makes sense for the Bulls of course -- get an extra piece or two and pay fewer $$$ for Thomas. For the Blazers...?

So let's see here. Portland trades up to draft Aldridge when he would have been there at 4, gives up Victor Khryapa, and passes over Adam Morrison, their fans' hometown boy.

Sucks to be a Blazers fan.
