The day is here. The past coupla days have been insane but back to playing ball tonight. This should be an excellent game and I expect the Dallas fans to try to rally their club to a win. Go Heat!

If the Heat do pull this one out it would be pretty remarkable. The arena is going to be on fire, and the Mavs are going to be beyond pumped to start it off.

I seriously think the HEat are gonna do it. They've been down in every game this series, and have managed to come back...granted with the help of the home crowd. However, I think that the Mavs will come out strong, but the Heat with their confidence and experience will be able to withstand the initial emotional push from the Mavs and their fans, and make it a battle down the stretch. Then I think Shaq's experience and Wade's overall will to win and talent will push them over the top.

The only way Dallas has a chance is if Dirk goes for 40 and 18, and Howard gets 25+ pts and if Wade is off for whatever reason.

I think the very thing the Mavericks are counting on to boost them up might well be their Achilles' Heel. They're not playing smart. They're playing on emotion ... and if the Heat comes out strong and takes the crowd out of the game early, it's all over but the trophy ceremony.

I was always rooting for the Heat, but Cubans deeds over the past 2 days reminded me why I am rooting for the Heat. Cuban is an embarassment to the NBA. Wade is now the poster child. How long untill some Mavs fan accuses him of rape or some illegitimate child? The man is amazing, and I just can't see him letting the Heat lose tonight. I expect the Mavs to lead early, but Wade will turn it on in the third. And in the 4th, another historical performance. Like I said before, Wade should win MVP even if the Heat don't win the Finals. Which won't happen. Your giving the Heat and Dwayne Wade 2 chances to shut you down, and I think Wade is gonna take the first. GO HEAT

There are a myriad of reasons why people aren't rooting for the Mavericks. Check the poll about who people want to win and the related comments, the thread about Mark Cuban, the game 5 thread, etc.

GO HEAT!!!

You local guys are nuts for rooting for Miami. You want Shaq to get this Championship? Antoin "raisin head" Walker? Gary "they call me the glove" Payton to win this.. this way?

I can't speak for everyone nebs but much as I despise Shaq, I only have 3 reasons to dislike Heat, I have 250,000 for Mavs. It's the lesser of 2 evils in this series.

Interesting first quarter. Already seeing some temper from Avery Johnson and Harris...

The Mavericks HAVE to keep their cool if they want to win this game and I think the example their owner sets may, in fact, doom them...

Wade is going to have another good game. He's going to continue to drive the lane hard and draw fouls. And the Mavericks fans are going to get more and more upset... And the Mavericks? They'll respond by whining to the officials; Mark Cuban will do his little teapot dance; and Steve Javie, Dan Crawford and Eddie Rush will continue to make the calls.
