Skal was a G-League All-Star, after all. He averages 64.7% from the field and 41.7% from three. I have no idea how well those numbers will translate to the big club. Any ideas?

I think at the moment, Skal has the more complete game and NBA experience. I love Jones's size, energy, and raw talent, but he is still a work in progress.

Maybe Skal will have that Hassan Whiteside or Moses Brown type revelation after bouncing around the league for many years. Here's his opportunity, lets see if he can make something of it. Even showing enough to stick as a 3rd center would be good.

We saw promise in skal and keep up hope that he would become healthy. He had the skills but he kinda missed his window and never really stuck after he left us.

But I hope he surprises us and gives us a legit back up big for the minutes he plays while Domas recuperates.

I really think the idea with all 3 of the Kings G league guys, even if they are a bit older is that it's much better to work on their games rather than just immediately fill a role as a role player getting spotty minutes. That's how you ensure players never really reach the height of their abilities and all 3 certainly have them. We're starting to actually see the talent Carter possesses along with Crawford and Jones and the abilities to possibly have players good teams have and that's homegrown developed guys. This has always been the thing that's evaded the Kings. Even in Montes first couple of seasons. Davion should have been in the G league too. You either develop guys or try to win, doing both at the same time is why players are more sure to hit their middle or floor.

He's got one of the softest shooting touches I've seen for a guy his size. Actually better to the eye than some established NBA stretch bigs. Just a matter of doing enough of the other things and the dirty work, in order to get another chance to show it. He will alter a lot of shots around the rim too.
