[Game] 56/82: Warriors @ Kings 21 FEB 2025, 7pm PT/10pm ET

Feels like we’re in stage one of fans realizing why Chicago was so eager to dump him and his contract. I really hope not

and as devastating as the Wemby blood clot news is, is it bad that I take some vague satisfaction in the bottom falling out for Fox? Feels like we might be entering the cave of schadenfreude being the only thing to hold on to
I was a proponent of rebuilding earlier this season, let alone after Fox’s trade request. This team has no future. Just sell your vets for firsts and start this thing over.

Not specifically talking about this game….just not impressed with his basketball IQ to be honest. I’m sure his shooting will come but just not really impressed with the way he plays.
I'm pretty sure he didn't make those All star games looking this way. Give it time. His problem right now is actually that he's trying too hard to fit in.

Worried about lavin like he's some rookie. He's not going to suck just because he got traded. I dont understand these people turning on a two time allstar. As if we where never down 15 with Fox in our lives.

It's no different than people calling Carter a bust because in his 3 minutes he looked only like a lockdown defender and not Jordan on offense to go with it or figuring Keegan is a horrible shooter because of one or two off/decent months so the Kings need dump all youth/picks on some mid role player that can shoot. Basketball fandom isn't what you have you done for me lately, it's what did you just do to me on that last play, lol.

I seen enough of the Kings new lineup. There is no toughness in the starting lineup. Like I said before, it's hard to win when you have to work hard just to stay competitive. I don't like Christie's lineup. I think he underestimate how valuable Carter is in affecting the game. His defense and hustle is way better than anybody on the Kings team beside Ellis. This team need that sort of players and he get no minutes.

Hopefully Carter gets more G league minutes. He's got the tools to be something really unique once he develops. The only concern I have is all the really important defense stats show he's already one the best defenders on the team and that's usually enough to keep a player in your rotation. I get the deflections thing, but guarding with your chest out, body first, toes pointed at your defender is championship stuff. Always has been. Not freaking deflections, lol. That's regular season ****. Wingspan + lateral mobility + strength changes the algorithm. Always will.

My comment was not about Levine not being a talented player. I’m sure he will start hitting his shots like he always has. He just strikes me as not a super high IQ player. He can be super fun to watch and he can obviously score, but he looks like a very tough fit right now if he can’t really learn how to play better off Domas.

I guess it’s more sadness that in two years we have shifted from a group of high IQ players, with a ton of offensive flow and fun to watch basketball….to a lot of one on one/ISO ball. Yes I get it, will take time to gel, tough to throw players together on the fly, etc, but at the core we have lost the identify of the team.

This team has no shot at Playoffs man. The offense isn’t even making up for the horrendous defense from the starting five. Blow this thing up.
Even if they decided to blow things up. They are pretty much blow up proof until the summer of 2026.

Only Monk, DeMar, Keegan, Jonas and Keon are immediately moveable and none for significant return.

Domas likely isn’t tradeable with his price tag…a team would have to make a decision to build around him as we have…I still don’t think that’s bad if you actually put a team around him that makes sense, which the Kings have failed to do..but as we can see by two straight all star snubs he is likely regarded as overpaid around the league.

LaVine might be a piece in his last season but probably only to help facilitate a larger deal for another team with some weak “thank you” second rounders coming our way.

Not that I’m advocating for a blow up. I’m just saying if they decided to go that way. They’ll find it difficult even to give away half of the core.

Monte is going to be gone though and it will just be regrettable that he was allowed to do the Fox sale on the way out for a starting trio(Monk, LaVine, and Deebo) that makes no sense together
