Some thoughts regarding tonight's game:

1. Keegan Murray leaving Klay wide open is inexcusable. He had to learn to defend better through the screen...he's just a bit slow in reaction. 17 seconds to go before OT with game tied up. Keegan Murray allow Kyrie a direct drive to the basket for 2pts, another inexcusable defense.
2. I like the combination of Sabonis and Jonas. Like I said before, Sabonis suit the PF position because he's a bit undersize for a Center anyway.
3. Benching Keegan in favor of Lavine in order to allow Ellis minutes in crunch time is cool with me. Initially, I thought Lavine should be benched but judging by the way Keegan play defense and being soft on offense...I am down with benching him. We're going to see more of this just because this team need more defensive-mind player like Ellis on the floor.
4. Kings do so many stupid things on the court. Malik taking charge at the end is unnecessary. It could have cost 2 free throws.
5. DeRozen is a clutch King, not DeAaron. He needs to learn to take some charges.

The jumpball is a travesty when one of the jumpers is left handed, the refs don't know how to place the players how to throw the ball vertically, in FIBA they used to have "the cursor" (not sure if it changed or not) but still there is opening tip off.
I say we break tradition and let Keegan do the jump ball at the beginning of games. Would be nice to start with the ball in the 4th for a change

The refs should have a device that pops the ball up. I’ve seen a lot of bad tosses lately
Or the ball should drop from the roof o_O

But yeah jokes aside the device sounds good. The opening tip off isn't such a big deal, but in this modern NBA that there are several jumballs during the game, it's many lost possessions if the officials mess it not knowing how to throw the ball normally.

I don't know If I blame the Klay three on Keegan, he was screened by a borderline moving screen which looked like Trey? Pushed him into Keegan?
Trey offered no resistance at all and had a second to react to Klay when he saw Keegan getting screen, he was at a terrible angle and didnt step out to atleast force a pass or hedge. He just sat in the paint and basically watched.

Like he is in literal no man's land, I would rather hedge on Thompson hard rather than guard a Kessler Edwards three.. He did neither..he chose to back peddle into the paint to potentially box out Kessler Edwards.

Trey has been quite awful lately.. hoping Laravia picks it up for him.

After tonight’s game, Christie has more wins this season than Brown. With 9 less games played
It's pretty impressive. 14-8 is a 63% winning percentage which would put us 4th right now in the West over the course of a whole season. 2 of those losses too were after the BKN game and all the Fox drama came out that destroyed this team's morale for that whole week. The fact we're still competing and in this race is a testament to the job he's done to keep the team on track.

Some may not like Kayte as a broadcaster, but she's an absolute sweetheart as a person. I ran into her in a restaurant once. I didn't see her at first, but she saw my hat and asked me what I thought about the game 2 nights before. Anyway, we had a great long conversation. She even gave me an extra Kings T shirt that she had with her. Didn't seem conceited or self-absorbed like many would be that were in her position. She was very sweet and kind.
I think Kayte has a lot more supporters then detractors, but the constant attacks on her get pretty annoying. Cool that you had such a great experience, she sounds like a classy human being.

When you have 17 sec left in the game and you are up by 2, you DO NOT MAKE such stupid thing like Demar did, when went to the basket and failed badly. That was a HUGE mistake and low IQ, which I was expecting much more from DDR. In Europe any coach would be screaming and yelling at you for such play even if you would make the basket. As example, Jasikevicius was furious for this even winning play:

Luckily that this ended good and not as terrible game...

You may be right, I never like Trey's defense. I actually favor Jake over Trey getting more minutes. And I don't know why they're placing Carter in D league. I think he's a hell of disrupter on the court.

They should replace it with a version of the original XFL's scramble that was used in place of the coin toss.
Place the ball at center court, and have both starting big men start under each basket and run towards the ball (center court), and whoever gains possession of the ball first essentially gains the opening possession for their team...:p:p:p
Sure, I've considered a scramble, but the number of injuries and concussions that would inevitably arise would be unacceptable. I'm here for a good old-fashioned coin toss to start the game/OT and alternating possession arrow through the game.

The jump ball should have gone away decades ago. But the NBA is prideful and doesn't want to adopt better rules created by rival leagues/NCAA.

If it were up to me, I'd change the rule so that the away team gets the opening possession to begin the game (and to start Q4) and all other jump ball calls during the game are determined by "possession arrow" (which begins on the HOME team side).

If the game goes to OT, the home team get the opening possession then they alternate opening possessions for each subsequent OT.

Problem solved.
