Throw in agents, who are the ones who leak things, and there is very little reliable info right now. The only thing I believe is that a deal is close.

I just want this thing done and frankly almost don't even care who we get back. Removing Fox in itself I think could be a net positive. He just hasn't been that impactful of a player this year with the emergence of Monk and Ellis.

Exactly. I don’t believe a thing we’re hearing right now. Just like Luka-AD, Haliburton-Sabonis, whatever happens I’m expecting to come out of left field.

Idea I thought of trade combining some rumors:

Kings out: Fox, Huerter, Lyles, DeRozan
In: Vassell, Sochan, Chamagnie, John Collins, Bassey, Trey Jones 2 Picks from Spurs

Spurs out: Vassell, Sochan, Champagnie, Bassey, 4 Picks
Get: Fox, Huerter, Lyles

Jazz out: Collins
Get: DeRozan, 2 1st rounders from Spurs

Kings new lineup extremely versatile:

Monk - Tre Jones
Vassell - Keon Ellis / Carter
Murray - Champagnie
Collins - Sochan
Sabonis - Bassey

Sochan plays a lot of 5' minutes, Vassell plays a lot of 3', Murray plays some 4' ... So basically 9 man rotation is Starting 5 + Champagne, Sochan, and 2 of Jones, Ellis, Carter

But it's not like they are insured championships for years to come any more than Dallas was either. One of these days LBJ will finally expire and Doncic will be in a similar position to what LBJ has experienced over the past few years. I'm far more concerned about OKC and Houston than the Lakers.

The irritating part of this deal to me is they save a ton of cap space getting him super max ineligible he will have to play 3 more years until he is paid what Dallas would have paid him next year. On the other hand he can note choose to sign anywhere without penalty if he is unhappy in LA.

No wonder Luka is pounding his head on a table. The cap element is a plus, no doubt. When LBJ leaves they will presumably have a lot more. That's LA for you.

Bummer if it’s a deal with just SA. I mean they have some nice picks but I don’t like any of their players. Hopefully it’s a multiple team deal where we get picks from the spurs and a good starter like Lavine, Cam J, or J Collins…sochan , keldon, and vassel are meh.

I just want as many picks as possible because we are going to build around Domas and he's got 10-12 good years left here and he'll never demand a trade. It feels good to get the losers off this team. If we do this right this can set up the next decade nicely with good picks. 3 first rounders and an impact player or two would be great.
