I think he just needs a change of scenery. He has too much talent. Clearly though he’s lost his confidence.
We keep throwing him out there in hopes of something happening so teams don’t forget he exists. At this point he’s too far gone as an asset. It’s not worth the handful minutes we are giving him. He is now only contract filler unfortunately. Even if a team thinks he just needs a fresh start, we will need to use one or two first round picks with him to get anyone that moves the needle.

Fox needs surgery to fix his finger. As he said, it would have to wait till the off season.
I heard a little bit of something about this... but even so, I'm skeptical of this plan of action. I guess we have doctors who can tell if playing on it will do permanent damage or not but I find it hard to believe that it's ever going to heal properly with him putting off surgery for 6 months. I don't want to see an Isaiah Thomas / Joel Embiid situation here.

He’s not taking surgery and disqualifying himself from a super max let’s be real

he said before the season it would take a month off to get it healthy

I get it but also I don't get it. A month off in November / December wouldn't have been the worst thing in the world. I guess maybe he had no choice because everyone else got injured in November and we couldn't just concede a month's worth of games. And then the team had a massive hole to dig out of and now we're fighting to remain in the playoff picture. It's just really painful after years of watching him look unstoppable with his handle to see him fumble the ball on half of his drives. The longer this goes on the harder it gets for me to picture him ever getting the handle back to what it was.

Not sure what you mean by this... I moved back to So Cal in 2024 and I've learned the hard way that the later I wait, the worse the L.A. Metro system gets about service delays. I don't want to be getting home at midnight so unfortunately that means skipping out on watching the 4th quarters sometimes.
Yeah, sorry. Forgot about commuter trains. It sounded very old-timey to me. I pictured you like this:

At this point I wonder why we can't just give him some time off to get this finger thing sorted out.

And also... I approve of this outcome! I'm looking forward to watching the 4th quarter highlights.
I think it was said he'd miss at least a month?

And also yeah, if missing 17 games DQs him from the super max he is just going to do the same thing that Hali did last year to get the super rookie.

Surgery would have taken him out for 12 weeks. Personally, I would have preferred him to get it fixed and not worry about the season. He chose to play with it.

He hurt it in pre season, it's already been 4 months.

October, November, December, January. Looks like 4. I believe it was the first week in training camp.
Ah okay. I figured you meant he injured it in a pre-season game (mid to late October) not the start of training camp. I was in Yosemite for the first two weeks of training camp last year so I missed all of this news. Just now catching up. :)

Doug has to get the minutes down man this ain’t the playoffs or the old days. Ellis easily could take 7 more minutes to get to 28 which would’ve brought Monk/Fox to 33. Eight more minutes for Carter to get to 13 and reduced Demar to 33

just a thought and Ellis needs to be at 28+ mph regardless he gets better as the game goes on
Seems to be the No Brainer move for the guard rotation.

Finding a way to cut back on Domas' mpg is looking like a Monte problem though

Good win, but tomorrow seems like a scheduled loss. A back to back away game in Denver? That's a tall order
Actually, I like that they usually get beaten badly when they let their guard down when facing inferior teams or teams depleted with injuries. Tonight, it was a good sample, 1st half they were too comfortable, thought they would run over them.
