I really don't think he was. I think he is an emotional child that lets vendettas override making the proper decision. He proved to be good at creating structure, and some x/o stuff, but absolutely horrible at the personnel aspect of running and more so developing a team and players.

I think that is unfair to Brown but it might be time to consider that the roster in 22-23 was just that damned good that he also didn't do anything magical. It sure wasn't anything close to the team taking the court a week before the 22 trade deadline.

Sac LaVine has been a better player than Fox this season. It will be nice to watch a top 20 NBA talent that actually wants to be here. De’Jected Fox attitude this season was terrible for the team.
I don’t like LaVine’s injury history - but I’m hyped the Kings are going for it, now instead of putting young pieces around Domas. Our offense is going to cook.

He's essentially the same level player that Fox is. Just more injury prone. Gives you a lot more shooting and a little less defense (when Fox actually put in the effort).
I think we'll be fine or possibly even better with him. Our shooting woes cost us a lot of games and Fox randomly settling for 3s like he's Lillard hurt us more than helped.

I think most are saying with DeRozen, Monk, Keegan and Domas where will his shots come from? Keon contributed on defense and only needed 8 shots in 34 minutes.

How much does Zach help our offense and hurt our defense relative to Keon in that spot? None of us know for sure but the impact of Keon as a starter is hard to dispute.

Well, if we use last night as a small microcosm, the offense in clutch got a little stale before we went back to the 2-man PnR with DDR and Monk. LaVine being a 2/3 flex does give you the opportunity to get more Keon on the floor too. And we've just sucked shooting the ball this year and LaVine has pretty much been the best shooter in basketball this season.
But yeah, that's a Christie problem he has to come to terms with. Keon cannot be any less than 25 MPG.

In a perfect world with no contracts and no egos to manage, Keon should start to balance the starting line up. However, we have a perennial All-Star in LaVine getting paid $45 mil/yr in the SG spot and Keon is not a PG or a SF.
I think it is DC's job to figure out how to get Keon 30 minutes per night. I don't think it is as important for Keon to start as opposed to getting him his minutes and having him in the game in crunch time if defense is needed. I also think LaVine will figure out how to play with the starting group and they will become a potent offensive lineup in time.

I don't think it's at all out of this world that LaVine becomes the lead ball handler for the team. They did it last game and it might be just fine considering the other pieces out there with him. At the moment this might be a short term battle of Monk vs. LaVine as to who finishes. Who starts usually isn't that important but it might be. Time will tell.
And honestly, all this stuff you can drill in the off-season, training camp, preseason. My first impressions of this new core is we have A LOT of talent, but there's a lot of kinks that need to be figured out. And, you need buy-in teamwide that someone is going to be sitting at the end of games. Pretty similar to how I thought integrating DDR into our current core would be difficult, but you also had the off-season to find that rhythm, at least somewhat.
